I thought it was a horrible decision to give up in that game. Peyton wasn't sacked once, and they really weren't even putting much pressure on him. He hasn't missed a game in years and years.
Did you guys get a look at the bench after they pulled him? The Colts players looked like they just lost the superbowl. They were down and dejected. That sort of thing can spill over to future games.
Also, if they give the first stringers a half of football next week, then they have two weeks off, they will have played what amounts to one football game in 5 weeks. 5 fricken weeks.
They might win the superbowl anyway, but I think its the wrong way to go about things.
And the fans???? I'd be going nuts if I paid good money for those seats just to watch the backups play in the 2nd half. The perfect season is on the line, I think they had an obligation to go for it.
And not to mention those nitwits in south florida cracking open the champagne bottles as soon as they say Peyton on the bench.
