Unpopular on these boards as everyone classes him as a punk but we so should have taken D-jackson last year. It makes me sick watching him for the eagles. Heyward bey or byrd look good out of the later wr's

Ive seen this asked a few times and still no answers.

Odds might be slim, but it would seem to fit into the sthu off-season.

Barring a huge hit, choose your favorite Miami deal. Ellis, Crayton and a 6th for a 3rd and next years fifth.

Sounds good if we can fit the crayton hit in as well as the other moves we need to make

With the 69th selection in the 2009 draft the Dallas Cowboys select...........................Mike Wallace....Missisippi

I personally saw him play and this kid is going to be a stud.

Combine results: 40yd- 4.33, Vertical- 40", Broad Jump- 10'9"

He's 6' and 199lbs.

He's gotten better every year and average 20 yds per catch in his senior year.

Book it!

Do you think our O-Line's run blocking is good enough to go with the run first offense?

When healthy yes. However my choice for acquisition right now is more depth on the O-line.

What worries me is we go with a pass first approach and our O-line gets worn out from protecting Romo for extended periods of time. Then Romo is more likely to get hurt.

Our defense has matured and showed dominance in 2008. Our depth and talent is stout at the RB position. So 2009 is shaping up to be a low scoring and conservative approach to ball control.

Harvin intrigues me but a receiver from Florida automatically throws up the red flag.

He is a explosive guy though and we need as many explosive players we can find with the void that Owens left.
Explosive is overrated. Efficient is what we need. A player who actually catches the damn football when we need him too.

I dont think we need another WR. I watched teams with no where near the talent we have at wideout win more games.

We have depth. Crayton, Hurd, Austin, Stanback. That is depth.

I'd draft a guy in the mid rounds to challenge Stanback as well as possibly take a roster spot regardless.

Preferably a player with ST ability as well. (i.e., punt returner)

I've had enough watching Crayton do that for us.

We can definitely upgrade in that area.

I wouldnt waste the draft pick. Some people post like they believe that WR is the #1 most important position on the field.

Personally, I don't see us drafting a WR at 51.

I think we will draft one, but between the 4-6 round.

If Roy Williams can't assume the number 1 role this year at wideout, I doubt any WR we draft this year is going to be able to negate that.

And I doubt we go out and get Boldin either, because rightly or wrongly, JJ has paid RW number 1 type money.

Romo and RW have to get on the same page and produce.

Our 2, 3, and 4 WRs are just fine, IMO.

We need our number 1 to produce. And he SHOULD be able to, if healthy. He's done it before.

Definitely not in FA. I wouldn't mind going WR somewhere in the draft, but I think we should use our top picks for defensive holes (e.g., S, CB, NT, ILB) and perhaps backup OL.

As far as our current group goes, I'd really like to see what we've got there. Obviously, we're counting on RW to be the go-to #1, but I'll be interested to see the battle for the #2 between Austin and Crayton. Either way, I like that trio and feel they can be productive, especially with Witten and Bennett keeping LBs honest over the middle.

I'm still ambivalent about Hurd as a #4 depth-guy; he's shown flashes, but he's also been hurt too often. Same goes for Stanback, who's apparently as fragile as a porcelain doll. Stanback either needs to be healthy and show what he can do or give up his roster spot.

Yeah, we should give that TO guy a look. :)

I really think we will be OK at WR. We should probably try something new and draft one.

Yeah, draft a WR. Dallas hasn't had much success drafting WRs, with Crayton probably the best that Jerry Jones has ever produced.

Surely Garrett can find a serviceable downfield threat.

Correct. If we go get Holt then in the same scenario we can survive without hitting the panic button.

I really don't care what they do at reciever anymore. You know it didn't really matter how self centered Terrell Owens was or even how he always complained about not getting the ball enough. We should have never let him go. Not saying our recievers now are bad but there is really no true threat besides Roy Williams. We should have went one more season with T.O. and let Roy get a training camp with Romo then see how things would have went. Just because T.O. voiced his opinion doesn't make him a bad person. To me he was a motivator trying to get the troops to respond. And that doesn't make him the bad guy. But back to the question at hand as far as another reciever, now this is just my opinion but get a seasoned veteran to help our young corp of recievers (Torry Holt maybe) and lets get this ball rolling. Our recievers need some kind of guidance. Patrick Crayton is not it. But other than that if we don't get a seasoned veteran reciever then it will just be another one of those seasons we as Cowboy fans will definitely be dissapointed.
