Do you think Williams beats out Austin before the end of the year?

Thoughts? I've always been a fan of Williams, so I think he has a shot.

I think we will see the 2 rotating in and out of the game as well as being part of the 3 WR sets at times. I think a lot will depend on Austin staying healthy. When Miles is healthy he brings a lot to the table. As for Williams I think he will have a role this year and hopefully a long future for the Cowboys

No...

I think the best thing to come out of a little competition will be that Miles' hammies will feel much better all year.

He won't have to, Austin won't play the entire season. Williams will see plenty of #2 receiver action.

He may very well be the #2 WR at some point due to injuries. But Williams more likely will be competing against Harris for the #3 spot. If Williams wins that job, then he plays on the outside and Miles plays the slot in 3 WR formations. I think his primary role this year will be as a deep threat.

I honestly haven't seen what's so special about Williams.

No.

Let's see if he can even beat out Harris first, mkay?

He won't have to. He'll already be moving Miles to the slot. After that, Miles probably won't be here next season anyway.

He won't beat him out. He'll just take over when miles pulls another hammy. I'm not too happy about not taking oline or dline but the weapons we have are remarkable

i don't think thats happening . watch him play and you can see while he has talent he has much to learn. this is a complicated scheme for wr's. they have to read what the defender is doing and adjust to that and they have to read it the same way that the qb does. he is not a defined route runner and he has never had to read defences. ask dez how hard that can be.
if he really works hard and learns fast he could maybe replace miles next year if they wanted to. but thats on him. he is gonna have to work very hard and learn very fast.
that does'nt mean we can't get him on the field some. we can get his feet wet with some plays designed for him but as a starter he is a long ways from being ready in this offense

No.

He will be great at wideout in the 3-WR sets, taking the top off the defense and making room for Dez, Miles, and Haris underneath. He will also get to start some games when Miles or Dez are nicked, but I think his game probably still has some wholes in it that coaches will work on.

You mean, besides the fact that he has prototypical size, speed, and led the NCAA in receiving yards? Yeah, nothing special about that combination.

Of course he will, and Fredrick will be the Pro Bowl starting center, Escobar will unseat Witten in training camp, Webb will make Carr the third CB and Holloman will push Carter to the bench. That's how good this draft class is!

Doubt he'll have to. He wasn't drafted to be #4.

It takes a bit of time for wideout to adjust to NFL, also a rookie won't be able to beat out a healthy Austin yet , I believe. But it's possible if Austin's hammy act up again

Have you actually watched him play? Or are you just reading about him?
