Just kidding about Bolt. Dan Patrick's interview of Willie Gault was a good one about Bolt's lack of football experience.

But before Jerra jumps the gun and goes after a cut-rate old and tired Horn, that money (and a whole lot more) would be best spent on a blue-chipper like Boldin.

But in my mind, Boldin too expensive. And the Cowboys have a lot of salary cap obligations.

Jerra: No Boldin, no Horn. And don't even think about Bolt.

Save your money and lets see what Hurd and Stanback can do and then wait for Miles.

T.O. is world-class. Crayton (or Miles) is serviceable.
Let's go with this set and don't go into cap debt.

We got plenty of stars all ready.

No thanks necessary for the expert analysis.

The cap is here to use too. I say if the Cards were actually willing, go for it.

Boldin is waaay too expensive. We can't afford a T.O. AND a Boldin.

Sure the team can. If there is space, the name or position of the player doesn't determine if the team can afford the player or not.

I'd rather not wait and end up wishing the team had pulled the trigger.

If Boldin can be had for a reasonable price, get him.

I would just hate to see Boldin go to Philly. W/ Curtis and Brown hurt now, they have DeSean Jackson, Avant, Baskett and Lewis. I think desperation is setting in and I can see them giving Arizona almost anythign they want for Boldin. THough Horn may be an option for them now too (or both)

I think I want Boldin however more than likely wont happen. RW is a free agent next year so we will just have to wait on that.

The consensus is that it's not going to be a reasonable price.

I don't think the money is the issue it is what we have to give up to get him. I don't think the Cards will settle for less than 2 1st rd picks and it is not worth the price. If Dallas needs a vet as a stop gap then look to the waiver wire as cuts begin around the league and look to FA or the draft next year but I don't think WR is that big of a dilemma on this team to panic and give up 1st rd picks

1st round picks that otherwise would be spent on players with barely any chance to see the field. We're talented, and very deep. Anyone we draft won't have a place on the field (unless your name is Michael Crabtree).

Look at Spencer, he would be starting on 30 teams right now. Anyone we draft next year or the year after is going to sit, bottom line. Even Felix and Jenkins were drafted for depth.

So it's not like we're trading future starters away, we're giving up 2 backups for a premier WR in Boldin that will pick up the slack once 81 hangs em up.

If we were talking 1 st rd pick I would have no issue with it if we are talking 2 1st rd pick then yes I see that as a problem. We do have something called FA where players will leave and it is important to have high picks to help replace those losses. I like Boldin but I would not give up 2 1st rds to get him

I'm thinking more along the lines of 1st, 3rd, and a players like Spears or Carp.

And honeslty I don't want to see him in an Eagles jersey for the next few years either.

Well that is why Dallas has stacked the defense and have added to the secondary to face teams that have very good WR. I don't worry about what Philly has I only concern myself with the players we have and our own ability to face teams around the NFL no matter who they have on their team. As for the trade a 1st and a 3rd plus a player like Spears or Carp? Come on the Cards have turned down better offers than that. Hell many around here complain about Carp and you think some other team is going to say Hey we need that guy? Lets get real, you want a quality player you are going to have to offer a lot. I would rather address this next year than panic and over pay this year

I want Lightning Bolt!

Yes, I know he has no football experience. His hands may be stone. Maybe he can't cut. But then again...maybe he can! Plus, can you imagina a 5'10 corner covering 6'5 Bolt? Talk about matchup problems... He is so athletic, I'm sure his jumping ability is phenomenal.

They said on ESPN's Mike and Mike in the morning today, that if you took his world record 100 meter dash time of 9.69 (which he didn't run as hard as he could!) and converted it to a 40 yard dash time, his 40 time would be 3.53! They said the faster player in the NFL runs a 4.24. Wow, what a difference.

Boldin says he wants 9 mill a year.

Give him a big signing bonus and keep his per year salary just below T.O.'s till Owens retires.

The it can escalate to a little higher per year.

The signing bonus will be the thing .... all the kid wants is guaranteed money.

Any estimate on how much Bolt is going to make on the world track circuit?
