Yup. but we went 8-8 three times trying it out. I'll stick with the plan.

Ah! I get it, defense, the offensive line nor any other part of the team except RB can affect the number of wins and losses.

Our running game this season? Heck yeah. It kept our defense off the field. I don't think we can upgrade the defense so much in one off season that we can become pass happy agin.

I think you're going to be surprised on what they accomplish on defense.

That's a valid point.

Folks have become intoxicated in the thought the Cowboys need an 1,800 yard or even a 1,600 yard rusher to even make the playoffs.

And that's simply wrong.

I want 1800 yards, but it doesn't have to come from one back.

I want defenses to load up against him. if he gets 1200 yards but gets 8 men into the box on the regular, I'm happy. Let Romo throw all season into light secondaries and let's see if he doesn't prove his ability.

I cringe at pass happy offense. I think it has been proven already that Romo is a weapon that is most effective if you use moderately. Occasional excess is fine but too much often comes back to bite you.

I want RUN heavy offense too but doesn't have to be just a single back. If we can get 2-3 backs combine for 1400-2000 yds we will be in good shape.

I think we will sign a significant defensive FA. Not sure who but I think the FO believes that FA D will have more impact than the 27th pick defender. And the history of that has been proven.
