Does anybody else feel like this season eerily resemble the 1986 season?

There are a few similarities...That season the Cowboys started 6-2, and the starting QB who also was 34 yrs old, goes down midseason with a season ending injury. Backup takes over and the Cowboys finish 7-9. Does anybody else feel like this season is almost similar to that one? Hoping the ending turns down differently.

I suspect most people on the board aren't old enough to remember this season. I am but I had to look it up. The QB that started the year was Danny White and Steve Pelluer who looked good originally but turned out to have a terrible season. Unfortunately this was the beginning of the end for Tom Landry who was replace a couple of years later.

No, doesn't feel like it at all.
1. White's arm was broken, and he was never the same after that.
2. Romo will return. He will still be able to throw the ball. Mobility may be in question a bit though. Until he shows us he is fine.

Fan since 70 so remember all the highs and lows, and promises of next great Staubach replacement..... Danny was very good, and but for the catch, and a horse collar tackle on Drew Pearson may have been a SB winner....

If Romo isnt heathy enough he should be man enough to sit the next 2 games out. We have a nice coushion and at the most im looking at 7-3.
