I was talking with a friend the other day. About him finally getting rid of the crow he had. So I was wondering if anyone else had these traditions, bets, or whatever with either friends, family or co-workers. You, being a Cowboys fan, and them being, Commanders, Giants, Eagles, or other teams fans.

These two guys I know, have a long going deal, with a stuffed crow, but it looks real. Well, one guy had it for I think 5 years, for Oklahoma beating Texas in the annual Red River Shootout at the Cotton Bowl. Well, last year when Texas won, I thought he was going to cry for be able to give it back.

When I was in Florida, for 14 years I went through this. Twice a year, would go to my Dentist, for teeth cleaning. Well, I would wear in a Cowboys shirt. When he seen that, and ever since, he would have his Dental Assistants always put me in the room with his Commanders things. So while in the chair, I would have to look at a Commanders player clipped on the examining light. Commanders pennant on the wall and so forth. Of course I tried to keep my eyes closed most the time. And I always started wearing in cowboys shirts since that first time. Even if I left work to go there. I would have my wife meet me there, or I would take a Cowboys shirt in, and change before going into his office.

Anyone with any similar traditions with rival fans, but friendly ones at that.

Every year $50.00 bet with a Foreskin fan which = $100.00 a year..
Last year I was swept so you know this year I expect to get my ducketts back.

I bet 25 cents on every Giants vs Cowboys game with my Uncle in Glens Falls, NY. We started that tradition in 1974 after I beat him for 25 cents in the Dallas vs. Skins (Clint Longley) Thanksgiving game.

He wanted retrobution.

I've shared this here before, but in Jimmys early years, a Cowboys fan buddy of mine bet a Steelers fan buddy of ours, (when they had 4 rings, and we had 2) .. that we would get to 5 rings before they did.

The guy jumped on that bet.

We proceeded to win 3 out of 4 !!

That was sweet !!

My boss is a demon when it comes to the gamble. He a pretty boy tipe with customised suits and polished up shoes and gold wach with the diamond rings and good smelling colon two. Plenty of woman friends drive off with him at night time including secretary and sometimes married woman looking to sin for a night in his fancy drop top Benz.

Anyways he bets with me on every week just abouts during the football seasons. Last season it took me til Gramps tax moneys come in for I could pay him back all the bets I owed on him. I'm still not sure he cacalated things fair and proper but two late to argue on that now.

I'd do ok I guess but he's always fast talking and changing the betting lines on me at the last minute or confusing me wether I one or not after the games over.

If I try to buck him he laugh and big voice says I can look for another job if I don't like it. He scare me alot with that shyster talk and big smiling white teeth so I back down and bet with him most times.

I still owe him after the Mavericks lost the series and on the world cup succer matches we lost (he let me take America but I had too give him 3 goals every game witch as it turned out didn't not matter-- just letting you know how he strikes up his hard bargain on me).

I plan on winning things back and then some next football season. Im gonna buy up one of them stylishly Street & Smith magazine that got all the secret writings on football plastered inside it and study up on what games to bet the ranch on and what not. No more seat of the pants bettings for me.

man, with the way USA was playing, maybe he should've given YOU 3 goals every game. Those conditions are unreasonable at best. There is no way USA could win games by 3 pts.

My college roommate is a huge Giants fan. So we have a bet when the Cowboys play the Giants. The day after the game, the fan of the losing team has to wear a jersey of the winning team around school, with a sign around their neck. After the Cowboys lost to the Giants near seasons end this past year, I had to wear a Tiki Barber jersey that Monday with a sign that said, "I BET AGAINST THE GIANTS AND LOST!" Not fun, especially since I live in and go to college in Giants country (Northern NJ). And I go to a small college of about 5,000 so you run into everyone you know pretty much everyday. However, when I girl sees this, she'll read it and then start a converstaion about that. I also have a similar bet with one of my friends, however, its not with the Cowboys. She's a huge Duke basketball fan and I'm a big North Carolina basketball fan. The deal involves t-shirts and signs. Same rules apply.

I quit betting on football after Bledsoe choked on his Super Bowl against Geen Bay. Nothing worse than losing money to a cheesehead.

i have a buddy that is a big Broncos fan.. every year, we make a $5 bet on which team's RB will rush for more yards.. we started this about six years ago, so needless to say, Ive lost about $30 to him.. Im hoping Julius changes that this year and for the next ten or so years..

Back in HS me and a friend who moved to Dallas from the D.C. area when he was 14 bet 20 bucks on every Cowboys/Commanders game. I made some cash from those deals :laugh1:

I used to have a running bet with my buddy who was a Commander fan but he moved one direction and I moved another and we lost touch. Kinda sad, I always enjoyed talking smack with him...which is odd since I'm usually not much of a smack talker.

that must have been HARDCORE for super bowl 30 then!!!

one of my best friends from high school is a HUGE eagles fan, and last year we bet 100 dollars on total yards between bledsoe and McChoke, and he was so confident the eagles would sweep the boys he bet me 100 bucks on that too!!!! so it was a great season in that sense!

Right now? $10 that we get #6 before the Steelers
Back then? (I'm young so lets not think too far into the past) $.50 on every Cowboy vs. Bills matchup from the time I was 3 (1990) til today with my Grandfather. I have made a decent amount of cash, I would go to the drug store, buy candy and rub it in his face til I was about 15, then it got old.

My father and I have a yearly bet whenever the Cowboys play his 49ers. The winner gets dinner at a restaurant of his choice. No matter who wins we enjoy the meal but he usually buys. :)
