And I can't believe that you guys call soccer, football. If you are watching soccer, you can fall asleep in the first half, wake up in the second half with a few minutes to play and nothing has changed. In American Football, every inch the ball is moved there is a story line unfolding. Very compelling compared to soccer.
if you think that nothing has happened then maybe you don't understand the sport? apart from the whole using the foot thing the main reason its called football and not soccer is that it has been called football for far longer than american football has been around. as for the video, that was hilarious. i was at the celtic milan game in the video with gillardino getting booked for diving when he realised he wasn't getting to the ball, crowd were baying for blood at that point. its infuriating but the players do it to get an advantage and will continue to do so until harsher punishments are brought in, besides it certainly makes a talking point which can only be a good thing in a sport you find so dull?
not been a fan of nfl for long enough to talk about the historical significance of changing the uniforms but if the fans feel strongly enough about it then surely it won't happen. i know a few years ago they changed the celtic shirt and put a white band on each side of the shirt running from under the armpit to near the bottom of the shirt which broke the green and white hoops for the first time since they were introduced nearly 100 years ago and the uproar from the fans ensured the following seasons top had the full hoops re-instated.
on a side note referring to the jerry jones shirt mentioned earlier i have to say i'm impressed that american sports teams don't have sponsorship logos on the uniforms.
