Actually you can't blame Jerry on this one. Good ole' Tex changed the pants color in I think '83 or '84 not sure about the helmet color though. A couple things Jerry did that I don't like is take the stripes off the socks in '95 and at some point made the star just alittle smaller on the helmet but only a uni geek like me would notice that.

They were never this green during the Landry years. Shiny, yes. Green, no.

which other pro sport has advertisements on it? I know Nascar but what other one?

Depends on the lighting and the surrounding colors, field mainly.

boxing, soccer, rugby, tennis, formula 1. basically most non american sports that are popular enough for companies to justify spending on advertising
