Does anyone remember when Jimmy would say that if a player missed camp

if a player missed camp he was worthless to the team for the rest of the year. I never understood that sentiment. And now we are headed to the biggest game in six years with a brand new linebacker (James Anderson), who looks like he is going to play.

How do you square what Jimmy said? Was he just trying to get his veterans to come to camp?

We seem to have picked up quite a few players over the past 2 years and pressed them into play time immediately. Some with not bad results.

I question a linebacker being able to help. Heck, he doesn't know the system. Or does he cause he played in Chicago?

Broads said Anderson looked really good in practice. He's a veteran and knows his way around.

I think that statement was more geared towards young players. It's not as if Jimmy never signed anybody during the season.

Also, didn't this new LB James Anderson play with the Bears. I'm sure he has watched a lot of video on the Lions and GB. I think he can help a lot in the next two games.

Jimmy played a lo of mind games...and they usually worked.
I believe his major was in Industrial Psychology.

And he had different rules for different players. Curvin Richards, fumbled in last game against Bears, he was cut, John Roper fell asleep in a meeting, he was cut. No hesitation at all.
Leon Lett, was afraid he was going to be cut, but wasn't.
