Does Jerra have a gag on Wade, or is the HC just busy?

Hey, hale fellows, I can't recall the last time I heard or seen Wade on the tube.

Talk about a low-profile coach. You'd think he'd be more out there.

Could be that his aversion to the cameras is probably for the best. He's been busy getting Davis, Hamlin, that arena league receiver et. al

This guy WP seems to be focused and not pining for the camera or, on the other extreme, disdaining it with venom like man boobs.

And with the new HC being so aggressive in FA within weeks, it makes me think he and Jerra must might have their eyes on a "glamour" pick of RB or more secondary help.

I think it will be secondary help or O line early in the draft. We'll see.

Phillips was at the Hamlin news conference Friday, so you must have missed that.

He has work to do. It's the off season, what do you want him to say now?

That is a phenomenal shirt Wade is wearing.

The press conference must have come fast on the heels of the local "Al Borlin / Eddie Vedder Look Alike" convention.

Parcells got hammered for not attending the press conferences. People were saying that he must have been against the signing (TO) since he didn't show up for the press conference. But if memory serves me correct, he never showed up for any signees press conference.

Then we get a coach that takes time out of his very busy schedule to show up at the press conference. He makes a statement then answers questions. Then people want to say that he is being low profiled.

I don't really believe the Cowboys will waste their pick in the first round with an offensive lineman more like a wide receiver in Dwayne Jarrett, or conerback help with Chris Houston or Leon Hall.

He was on both the radio and TV just this week. And why do you think he would be more out there in March?

Let's be serious, Man Boobs's venom was also a good mix of drool along with that venom. He acted like he hated it, but he loved every last second of it. In fact, I'm still not convinced that wasn't the only reason he came back to football this one last time for, just to play infront of those cameras one last time. On the sidelines he almost seemed dead at times, but throw a camera and a few reporters infront of his face and he was nearly foaming at the mouth as much as Dieon Sanders he was so excited. That's why him and TO worked, they both play like they hate the media attention but we all know they love it, practically two in the same when you come right down to it.

As for Wade, I like it. He's not crazed for the attention and seems like he'd rather have his actions speak for him while we wait to see what type of team he will field for us. And his actions so far are good, he's showing up for player signings and all the maditory press conferances, but at the same time not making any excuses for the rest of the time. It's like, he's busy, we should get that, no explaining needed.

Your mom sometimes acts like she cares what I think. Like the time at the jiffy mart she wanted the marlboro lights and I said some Salems would be best and she agreed.

Funny I was just thinking the same thing.

I think its more Wade doesnt really look for the spotlight, while Jerry does. I truly think Jerry has learned from his past mistakes of being a control freak, and is allowing Wade freedom to do what he thinks helps the team.

Saturday i read jerry saying about Hamlin: "He will help Wade and our team do what we want with our defensive scheme."

He sure is talking like he's involved, which is worrisome. But perhaps he's just being the same proactive guy he's always been as an owner.

Oh good grief I knew exactly what kind of thread this would be with the Jerra reference. Good gawd, why not look for things to artificially fret over. Wade has engaged the media over the last few weeks. He is also focused on getting his organizational structure into place, meeting with coaches and forging the game plan for training camp and the upcoming season.

Pardon Jerry if he is called upon while Wade chooses to be less available. And why shouldn't Jerry be addressing player acquistions visibly. Isn't he the general manager???

I see you are trying to make hay from a single piece of straw in another post down below, alluding to Jones commenting to Wade as if he is making totally independent decisions a la Hamilton. I really don't think Wade and Jones are going to overcompensate justifying media time and player acquistion for the likes of sour graped simple minded fans.

It must really suck to be looking for critical needles in Jones' haystack. That tells me Jones is doing a relatively good job. Although purely unintentional on your part, thank you again for reaffirming that Jones is handling things so well.

Are you serious, GimmeTheBall? Parcells disappeared like a groundhog in winter during the offseason. Now we have a coach who is accessible to the media when time permits and he is also very polite, despite the stupid questions that might come his way. What more do you want?

All I want is a head coach, any head coach, who can help us an NFL championship. I could care less whether he's a talking head trying to please my every waking moment. Deeds before words is my motto.
