Do you guys think he will suit up Sunday, and if so, how effective will he be. If I recall correctly we picked up Quincy Morgan, and he started our next game at GB, and actually played the best game of his stay that week. I believe it was during the Bye Week?

I think Price will have enough time to learn enough of the offense to be brought in situationally. I think if he plays, he won't have a huge day, since he won't be playing that much, but he might contribute with a couple cathces

I agree, I think they will give him a handful of plays to learn for this upcoming game and he will see limited playing time.

I see him playing. Just his speed will have the defense playing back and will allow our other receivers to get open.

Ya, I figured it would be more of a decoy thing too. I'm sure we'll prolly take a shot to him

I think he'll be used in the deep stuff. Thinking BP and the gang want to see his speed, hands and seperation. The long stuff is easy.....just run.

Parcells Force-Feeding Price, But... --
Mon Sep 5, 2005 --from FFMastermind.com

AP reports Dallas Cowboys WR Peerless Price joined his new club Monday and immediately began learning a new position and a new playbook. HC Bill Parcells said he would force-feed as much information as the speedy Price can handle before deciding whether to use his new deep threat in the opener Sunday at San Diego. "We'll see if he can catch on by Sunday," Parcells said. "If he can't, then I won't dress him. If he can, then I will. I'm not trying to put square pegs in round holes here the first game of the year."

Unless he catches on pretty quickly he won't even dress.

That sounds to me like Parcells is just being Parcells. He never likes to say he's handing someone an opportunity to start, they have to earn it. I expect to see Price in a limited role on Sunday

I think he definately dressed. He'll probably see spot duty. Like someone said, going deep is easy, just let drew throw it and have PP run under it. Most likely some third down duty as well. I think this week will be more to get his feet wet.

I'm sure he will play. Crayton will be #3 for a few weeks for sure. If Crayton can hold of Price all season, I will be very impressed. I love Crayton, but I like that we have Price as well. Crayton has huge upside, and made some clutch plays last year for us, but until he's doing it regulary against regular defenses, having Price around definately eases my mind a bit.

I mean if he plays and drops one it wouldn't be any worse than ole stone hands Morgan, seriously the Cowboys have plays and motion that will make you wonder if this was the same team in pre-season and we won three there, the Cowboys have a vibe, get on the wagon early, don't be a fair weather fan later on when the bus starts rolling, JJ has a gear you haven't seen since last year, we will roll, they will fear our defense like they did in the days of Deion...

If he plays, I think it will be limited...at best. I just don't see him getting much time on the field this soon.

He'll probably be used as a decoy for a couple of plays, maybe the intended receiver for a couple, but I wouldn't think a lot more.
