Does Randy Gregory even care?

Bottom line, Gregory is probably a whole lot more like David Irving than what folks want to accept.

Legalizing pot would like not solve this issue whatsoever. These are mental health issues that run a lot deeper than just "marijuana to control anxiety."
One of the most uninformed opinions on this thread. Wow

“Probably a lot more like Irving”

Do some research on both before you start comparing them man

Bottom line is he isn't anything like Irving. Irving was a self professed recreational pot smoker who had no intention of trying to get treatment to curb his use. Gregory has sought out treatment, not only for his drug abuse but also other mental issues he suffers from.

I mean holy crap, you admit in the next paragraph that he has mental health issues.

Stop posting. You are embarrassing yourself on this topic.
Exactly dude is confused

So you think if they just stop testing for marijuana, there'd be no problem here?

In 5-20 years it will be outlawed again and future generations will look back and wonder how we could've been so stupid.
What? It’s legal in 33 of 50 states now lol

You know the next generation of legislators have grown up in a society where weed is acceptable right?

The reason it’s going to be fully legal sooner rather than later is because it’s apparent that years of propaganda and economic (Big-pharma) reason’s are why weed was illegal. The plant has never killed a soul.

If you think weed will be outlawed again then you just refuse to acknowledge the society’s changed opinions of weed. Especially with the opioid crisis

Uhm. They are being suspended for marijuana use.

No testing = No punishment lol pretty cut and dry

They aren’t disciplining ppl for the effects of marijuana lol literally just for having THC in their system. So yeah if THC isn’t tested for ppl wont get suspended

If you think that is Gregory's problem, you are not paying attention.

He has very deep, dark anxiety and depression issues that he uses marijuana to mask. It does not resolve them. Not even close.

I was told by a prominent neurologist (and I admit that he's a neighbor friend) that once marijuana use becomes frequent and regular for someone, their emotional maturity stops at that point. They struggle with employment, money management, relationships, parenting, and just daily responsibilities.

I can think of several people I've known that fit that description perfectly. They're still stuck in the 80s and 90s and have essentially gone nowhere.

There are exceptions, but not many.
This is what I’m saying dude. You can’t look at the world from your little bubble man. Just cause a doctor on your block said something that coincided with ppl you know doesn’t make it a blanket truth for everyone.

As a 24 year old I’ve grown up in a world where most if not all of my friends/co-workers smoke. We all graduated college, everyone works, and some are moving towards having a family. There are millions of people who smoke weed daily and live fruitful lives.

Does that give me the right to say everyone except for a few exceptions can smoke weed daily and live great? No lol. Weed, like alcohol, treats everyone differently. The key to substances like these is moderation and being honest with yourself. Anything can be abused in this world, not everything is mutually exclusive.

We need some more empathetical intelligence in this country

Absolutely not. I read and research a ton.

Weed is killing much more massively than they ever imagined. Makes some people crazy, several have killed family members. England has strengthened their anti-weed laws for the 2nd year in a row.

I do acknowledge the changed opinion. You may not know, but this already happened in the 70's, before they found out it was a ton more harmful than they thought.

I think it's funny how you mention propaganda, as that's exactly what you're touting. Ironic.

Research, dude, and you'll completely change your mind.

Weed destroys people's lives. As I stated earlier, I've spoken to a few doctors in my neighborhood that generally agree on the subject. One who is a neurologist told me that once weed becomes a routine practice for someone, their maturation stops right there. They're 18 years old when they're 40. Their lives are disorganized, they struggle with relationships, money, employment, and just general daily responsibilities. And the emotional dependence on it becomes crippling.

It doesn't kill them, and it's not a great danger to others. But it has a profound affect to the user.

People that love weed don't want to hear that because it's inconvenient.

Absolutely true!!!!!

Weekend weed smokers are fine. It's the daily use that messes people up. I've both seen it and read about it.

let me lay it out: IS HE HERE AND AVAILABLE? NO. How does that help the team? answer...it doesn't. Hope that helps. your welcome. NEXT.
Dude he doesn’t count against the roster or cap. Calm down lol at this point you just have a personal issue with Randy. I can assure you no one in the locker room is negatively affected one bit by JJ being loyal to Randy.

It is a great danger to others. See if you can find a copy of a book by Berenstein. ( I think that's about right). Weed is causing pyschosis and other issues and people are killing their family members because they think they're demons. And it's also causing wrecks and lives to be lost thereof, but they don't test for it. It's starting to come out that it's actually much worse than thought.

Most of the propaganda ironically is coming from the pro-weed people.

Man do you know everyone in the world? Like I said, in your little bubble you might see things that way. As someone who’s GROWN UP in a society where weed is normal, I can assure you that you are misinformed. If you are right, how can people all over the country live fine lives and smoke?

There’s 11 states where Marijuana is legal as we speak. Why aren’t these states crashing and burning daily?

Things might be true in your bubble for a myriad of circumstances. Don’t push that onto other people and think it’s a truth for everyone.

What does that have to do with him being allowed to play football?

Personally, I don't mind at all.

My daughter is about to graduate with a Finance degree at school that's dang hard to get into. She sees people smoking their way out of the harder colleges within the university all the time. And these were top 5% high school students. Finance and engineering students graduating with sociology and general studies degrees. Useless.

It's culling the herd of competition nicely.

True, it can reach those kinds of levels, but there's a lot involved with those folks. Much like Irving.

Those who smoke defend it to the death. It's obviously become much more to them than just a casual thing to do.

Not gonna go back and forth anymore. To convince an older person that something they were told and society deemed true for their whole life is not in fact true, is almost an impossible task. Let alone on a forum behind a keyboard.

As societies progress norms that were established based on information available become disproven. Things like interracial marriages seen negatively, alcohol abolition, AIDS only being transmitted by same-sex relations, are all backed by false “facts” and always end up getting disproven over time.

As more information becomes available and time passes society is able to grow and sift through propaganda and get to the truth. Older lawmakers pass or retire and a new generation of legislators take their seats in government and are a reflection of current societal ideals, not those of generations past. Naturally new laws come to place and things that where once outlawed become normal.

This is just the nature of society, and seldom if never are old thoughts rooted in suppressed information proven to be true in the eyes of history. Weed is one of those things. It’s already legal in some capacity in 33 states and counting (multiple states introducing bills in 2020). Whether you like it or not this upcoming generation of officials will finish ushering in the laws that make this legal nationally, and you older folk will be on the wrong side of history once again. Just like with so many social issues that have plagued this amazing country.

I will no longer attempt to convince any of y’all lol you guys are fighting a losing battle as majority of states are already pro-pot.

PS- everyone reacts to weed different and should only smoke relative to what is a healthy amount for them. Anything can be abused and everything in life requires moderation
