I work at Denny's and I would NEVER show this kind of public affection for an IHOP employee.

That's just ridiculous bullcrap on Mo's part. How dare him!

It is the new watered down NFL I am afraid..

I have too much other crap to worry about in my REAL life to be concerned with this..

Now, in all honesty?

IF this was done AFTER the Giants COMPLETELY Destroyed the Cowboys? And, it was all hunky dory between these two? Friends or not?

I would be a little miffed about it. I can't lie... Not like the two couldn't talk again after the game. LOL,but, after a tough loss? It is just a little close.

But, I am a different breed. A "back in my day" guy.

Everything is acceptable now, so who cares quite frankly.

In all seriousness, college teammates are always going to be tighter than pro teammates given that the NFL is more of a business than a brotherhood. Even players that last a decade in the NFL may average more years on their college team than any one NFL team.

Mo Claiborne wishing happy birthday to Rueben Randle of the Giants on Instagram.. Like , even if he is your friend show some respect to the Cowboys fans who support you. This really pulled Mo down a notch, this is weak to me. I know they were teammates in college, but he should be the enemy now.

I feel like we are the softest team in the league, always helping other players up after tackling them and showing love to them.. But then we get smacked in the face by everyone. This is a constant theme in my eyes.

Does not bother me at all. They are friends and just because they play for opposing teams does not make them less of friends. I'm sure both will play as hard as they can when the teams face off but after the game is over they still remain friends. Not hard to understand

Whatever, guess you guys don't appreciate the thought of having some more alpha males on the team like Dez. It's one thing to send a personal text to the dude, it's another to make an announcement on your social media shouting him out when all of your followers are Dallas Cowboys fans who passionately hate the Giants.

Seems it is your problem and no one else. It is a game do you get that?

Lol, aright.. Well I've never seen any team in the NFL show as much love as our players do to opposing teams. I mean, Tashard Choice getting Vick's autograph post game in public is a prime example of this. We have a group of soft players who don't have any dog in them. Look at the teams at that top right now, Ravens, Seahawks, 49ers.. Just wish our players had more of a mean streak in them like players on these teams.

Lock up the thread since everyone just accepts this behavior. Back in my playing days it was more difficult to play against guys who were mean in comparison to guys who were cupcakes. Do I need to show the clip where Sean Lee gets leveled and no one on our team proceeds to gain any vengeance? This kind of stuff matters, whether you're willing to admit it or not.

This wishing of a happy birthday is not something that is groundbreaking, not a big deal at all. My point is that our team has way too many friendly gestures for other players. At least in my eyes.

Our DBs will pat the other WRs helmets after a reception, while the opponents DBs give Dez extra licks.
maybe you should follow other tems players. they do the same thing. you really think other teams players have'nt ask player for autographs? do you really think players are'nt friends with players on other teams. heck, some have family on other teams. maybe they should'nt invite them for christmas.
has nothing to do with being soft. talking trash does'nt make you play better. working hard makes you a better player. wishing your friend happy birthday has nothing to do with anything

Just in case the OP didn't know, back in the early days, there was no twitter, otherwise the same things would've gone down.

Times have changed man. I recall the old George Allen vs. Landry years and those teams had serious hate. But like a lot of posters said, it's all a big brotherhood business under their union. One year, they are opponents, next year teammates. Their tenures are shorter and they have easier ways to communicate or stay in touch so they are all a little closer.
I miss the rivalries but they have been pretty much washed away with exception to the fans themselves.
Lastly, I hated that (it seemed that) no one had Lee's back last year after that visious hit in Seattle right in front of our bench. I was hoping to see one of our players take a flag for some retaliation on a future play but you do that and you get hit for $25K in this league and your on every cover of every website as the "dirty player" which does not sell anymore in the NFL.

Let me tell you something because I cover high school sports, and a lot of those kids play on the same summer league teams and what not.

The rivalries are still there. And just because you like a couple of guys on one team, doesn't mean you like the whole team. The hatred is there if both teams are competitive, but the Cowboys haven't lived up to their end of the bargain.

Even back then players away from the game interacted with each other. Former Commander Diron Talbert and his brother Don who at one time played for the Cowboys would hang out and Mike Ditka club as did others. Fans get carried away and make this personal when it is not.

Yes high schools and colleges still seem to have meaningful rivalries however I believe the NFL rivialries have been diluted to a certain extent. I have no data to back that but just my opinion. KC vs Oak, Dal vs Wash, GB vs Chic, Rams vs SF just seem to have lost their luster. Trach talk does not seem to be as apparent. Perhaps it's just me?

I suggest we vote on a suitable punishment for him

Good point.
I just think that some of the older players in these rivalries would retaliate without making any bones about it only to start up or extend these rivalries. They knew that they were going to represent their team until they retired or were replaced so needed to set the tone for their defenses. It does not seem to happen with the present NFL system since players are moved around much more than before. Some of the loyalty to represent the team in that rivalry seems to be lost. I have nothing to back that, but just seems that way.
Certainly agree fans and media hype it up.
