Does this team have the potential to win a SB next year?

Taking into account the fact that we will sign a very good kicker and the draft is still to come, do we have enough/will we have enough to win a title next year?

let's just say that field goal kicking becomes less of an issue with TO around.

I think we have enough to be a contender in the NFC for a playoff spot. Beyond that, though, who knows? We're two weeks into free agency. No one knows who will be contending for a spot in the Super Bowl.

Of course. It did last year and still does this year. Pittsburgh and Seattle had cake schedules last year and it got them over the hump. The AFC elite got good whipping up on some very bad teams. Philadelphia was 6-10 last year and is drafting 14th-- that shows just how many bad teams were out there in '05.

The good teams that have the easiest schedules have the best shot in this league.

Not yet..

Cowboys need:

A Kicker:: Adam Vinaterien
A FS:: Marcus Coleman
OLB:: Julian Peterson or/and maybe Manny Lawson
Another WIDE RECEIVER:: Keyshawn Johnson/or Chad Jackson/or Javon Walker/or Eric Moulds/or Sinorice Moss

We absolutely have to improve up front on offense. If that happens, and we stay healthy, I think we have a legitimate shot.

Of course we do. Surely you guys watched last season? There's about 20 teams with the potential to win a SB. Before the season last year, everyone wanted Mike "Clipboard" Holmgren fired...and they made the super bowl. Pittsburgh looked liked dogs when they were 7-5 ....The talent level isn't impressive anymore in the NFL. We've got a definite chance.

Either way guys expectations have rised when he signed his name on the dotted line. Only time will tell if this will be one of the greatest days in cowboy history or one of the darkest.

The offensive line is still bad. If Allen is cut it will be easily over-powered. I'm not a believer in becoming a contender through free agency. Teams are built not bought. We do have better players than we have had in a long time - but we have had a lot of changes this off season: Payton, Allen, Keyshawn, Glover, Dat. Who are our leaders? What is our identity? We seem to have great upheaval in our core every off season. That's not a way to build a contender. IMO. Until we have stability in key positions with quality young players and quality coaches, I will find it hard to believe we are contenders. But there is nothing in the NFC that really scares me so anything is possible I guess.

I think we have the talent to contend in the NFC. If we don't make the playoffs, it will be a huge disappointment.

I still see Seattle as #1. I think we have the right components but our OL is still sketchy. If the OL plays well, we'll be in the NFC hunt. If they don't, we'll be praying for a wild card again.

First of all, like I said from the beginning, it all begins on the lines....both Defensive and Offensive.

If the O-line can't block then JJ can't run and DB can't throw the ball...REGARDLESS of who the WR is.

If the D-line can't stop the run, then that open up the opposing teams entire offense.

Alot of people think that T.O. was/is the missing ingredient.....he's NOT. We need better lines....ESPECIALLY on offense if we want to score.

I think that we will have a markedly better o-line this year. Hopefully, IF Petitti is starting, he has learned alot....he better have learned alot.

T.O. wasn't the missing ingredient with SF and he wasn't with Philly won all of their playoff games WITHOUT T.O..

We were pretty much in every single game last year. I dont see why we couldnt contend. We are a better team this year than last. At least on paper
