Does this team remind you of a basket of puppies?

I mean that in a good way. All these young kids running around on the field (& racking up penalties!), they remind me of watching a basket of puppies. Slowly tho, those puppies are starting to get housebroken & trained. We still made a bunch of penalties in the Indy game, but overcame them--but the mistakes are getting fewer. Can you imagine how scary good this team is going to be when all the puppies manage to get out of their own way, play some mistake-free games...oh, & actually lead a game from beginning to end?! Kind of exciting to think about.

On The Boys Blog today, there's a good point about another reason why Parcells will stay. Other coaches are lining up to try to take over the team. So far, Fisher, Davis, & now Gruden have reportedly been asking about becoming the next HC. And of course folks on this board talk about Jimmy Johnson. You know when coaches are anxious to take over a team that something's going right. The something being a QB (finally!), a talented young D that will only get better, & an OL that's starting to come along. Imagine what'll happen when we're able to add some additional draft picks & FAs to shore up the OL & deepen the defense.

They remind me a lot of how things were with the Cowboys of the 90's. Not in their style of play but they are young guys who have been going through the growing pains together and learning how to become a team.

I can see this team peaking at just the right time of the season. After the Thanksgiving game, they will have a few days to get rested up for the big push late in the season.

Take care of Tampa on Thursday, and this team will come out of the gate in the latter part of the season with the confidence to know that they can play with anyone...

Doomsday101, you thought I was gone for 45 days, huh? I told you the Boyz would ride them Colts out of town!

One of the things I hope our young puppies will do, particularly Roy Williams, is stop hitting your own teammates. Understand in course of a game players get jacked up, but maybe Roy could be little more careful when he's about ready to hit an opponent if/when one of our players already engaged with the opponent. One of these days Roy's gonna really knock out one of our guys. I know it's football but hurt the other guys not our guys.

I hope this is the spring board game for the Cowboys and we get on a hot role. I'm looking forward to going to the game against Tampa. As for the Colts I have said if Dallas can stop killing themselves they have a chance against any team.

Now that Indy is out of the way, this Tampa game is even more crucial. Dallas has to prove that they can maintain a winning streak of some kind. Three in a row with a 10 day rest would be sweet.

I agree. Dallas has to put the Indy game behind them and get themselves ready for a big game against the Bucs. If they do that then they have positioned themselves very well for the remainder of the season and we get to rest some guys for a few days.
