but with the top the Cowboys and Giants roles reversed?

Last year we were the best team in the NFC. We had everything going great until December. The Giants started off struggling and there were talks of Coughlin being run out of town. Eli was being ridiculed. Burress was injured all year. Shockey was being a distraction. The Giants got their crap together and won 11 consecutive road games including 4 in the playoffs. Coughlin won the team over. Eli stopped making mistakes. Shockey got injured and so it was addition by subtraction. Burress played with pain and did great.

This year, the Giants have been running on all cylinders. They have been the strongest team in the NFC all year. Meanwhile the Cowboys started off good, then hit a huge rut. Wade was on the hot seat. Romo was injured. Our defense sucked. We have had tons of injuries. PacMan got suspended again. Then after the bye week, Romo came back and the offense has gotten so much better. Wade starting calling the defense and it has improved immensely. We have gone out and gotten a few STs players and our coverage is so much better. Most of our important players came back from injury, but unfortunately we lost Felix and McBriar for the year. Still, we are clicking really well right now. It seems our team has gotten its act together and we are now fighting our way into the playoffs, the way the Giants had to do last season.

Yea but will this team employ that mentality the giants had last year that made them go on that SB run? It remains to be seen. December is here. Now its time to see the real character of this team.

I see what you're talking about but no it doesn't feel the same and I can't feel the reverse. We could go 12-4 and finish 2nd. That's how I feel right now.

Can't make everything into an historical parallel. Let's see how we do in December before believing in destiny. The team has to earn it on the field, not console itself in comparisons to unlikely scenarios from last year.
