I know this might be sacriledge to say, but: to you 30+ year old zoners out there, is it me or does Romo remind you of Staubach? I know it's quite early to make the comparison, but I swear if you made the footage a bit more grainy and put a #12 on his back, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Just my opinion but curious to hear from the rest of you.

Staubach was very good at avoiding the rush and completing passes. That is something they have in common.

Wasn't around to watch Staubach, but he reminds me alittle of Steve Young.

do not kid yourself....i like romo's ability but to a 50 yr old who is a huge staubach fan, it aint even close. staubach would have taken off running
on at least 2 of those plays where tony scarmbled a little.
not knocking romo at all!!! but not staubach either.

He reminds me more of Quincy.

Completes the short passes well and is not very accurate in the long passes.

Quincy's deep ball was one of his strengths actually...

That was a great play, but that fake spike crap is one of the things that worries the crap out of me.

Romo was pretty accurate with the long pass to TO. Unless hitting TO's hands, while running in stride, isn't accurate enough? Also the TD pass to Crayton today was right on the money.

Huh?

Quincy wasn't accurate on short passes. One year in college I believe he completed less than 50% of his passes-- that's horrendous.

I don't know where in God's name you pulled that observation from... I really don't.
