Beatty beaten: The entire offensive line was miserable in a game in which quarterback Eli Manning was sacked seven times, but the worst game of all belonged to left tackle Will Beatty, who admitted he let the first sack he allowed stick with him too long and affect his play later in the game. The Giants signed Beatty to a five-year, $37.5 million contract ($19 million guaranteed) this offseason on the premise that he'd be their franchise left tackle. But so far this year I've seen sloppy technique, particularly inconsistent hand placement that opposing defenders are exploiting. Beatty isn't a big, mauling left tackle. When he's great, it's due to his superior athleticism and sound technique. When the technique suffers, he becomes extremely vulnerable, especially to pass-rushers as good as the ones in Carolina.

True, I never really thought Beatty was good though. I mean I guess relative to the rest of their O-Line he's been good (career of recent) but I'd rather have Free

Yea Free if back to his old self which is good to see. If he continue blocking his man with no help our OL could be really great. Next season we fix that RG spot then we should be golden. I liked how Arkin has looked better each season but him and a top draft pick (1-2) can battle it out next season. Safety should be fixed, LB, WR, TE, RB are good so now on to the DL. I would like 1 OG, maybe a QB then the rest dumped in to the DL. While they have been decent we need depth and future starters there.....Actually now that I think about it we can go BPA, we gave a good team with not many holes.

A little early to be thinking about next year (although it's fun). Hopefully you're right, but a lot will happen between now and then that will affect what we have and what we need.
