Very sad when any athlete sustains such a terrible injury. God bless him and his loved ones.

I knew a LEFTY who was drunk&side swiped the inside iron works structure of a river bridge while his left arm was hanging out the window,,, he was hauling asphalt in a automatic transmission dump truck when I'd met/worked around him back in the 80's.

I work for a highway and drive it constantly. I know the dangers people face and there are multiple one's. People take it for granted and consider drives routine.

The report says, for unknown reasons the car struck the concrete barrier. I see this often. I can tell you that the unknown reason is always someone cut them off. That's the reason 100% of the time in the summer, and throw "ice" in there a few times in the winter. It was in the early morning so my best guess is that he fell asleep.

Helpful tip if you're falling asleep at the wheel. If you feel drowsy and might nod off, hold your breath. When you can no longer hold it, release, rinse and repeat. You cannot fall asleep while you are holding your breath.
