Attitude was a huge problem.

Reminds me of that DFW kid from Richardson Texas who went mid 1st round and played WR for Baylor. Good WR but terrible attitude along with injuries. 2 different teams put him on the practice squad after he left the Browns which is pretty degrading (going from top 15 pick to practice squad will humble you pretty quick)

Total exaggeration by fans, everything we've heard here was about his attitude, not his talent, the same issue popped up in Miami. Heck Solomon Thomas in SF was the 3rd overall pick and cant get his 5th year option picked up.
Almost every scout had him going in the first . it shows how much the draft is a crap shoot

"If you were watching the Michigan-Ohio State game, you might've noticed Charlton's game-wrecking ability (2.5 sacks)," McShay said. "He was Michigan's best pass-rusher this season (nine sacks in 10 games). He has the versatility to convert to a 3-4 OLB in the Steelers' base defense. Jarvis Jones and James Harrison are both set to be free agents."

McShay's so bullish on Charlton's ability, that in his first mock draft of the year, he has Charlton slated to the mid-to-late first round -- joining teammates Jabrill Peppers and Jourdan Lewis as Wolverines to be selected on the first day of the NFL Draft.

Attributing his meteoric rise to his newfound proficiency in technique, McShay says that Charlton's talent has always been there, but in utilizing that which defensive line coach Greg Mattison has been professing, Charlton has an opportunity to be a true star at the next level.

"Charlton finished the season on a tear, compiling 10 sacks in his final 10 games," McShay said. "He has always had the raw ability, but this season, he showed more consistency and refined technique. Charlton has the ability to be an edge defender in either a 3-4 or 4-3 scheme in the NFL."

Charles Harris - that's another pre-draft hype guy i have heard nuthin' from since he was drafted some picks ahead of the Taco pick.

and that includes Falcon's Takk Mckinley who ATL jumped ahead one spot of us to take him .... and now ATL has decided to move on without Takk ....wow!

Only TJ Watt made out of sumthin'

Solomon Thomas either the #3 pick overall that year.

I just don’t get it.

Keep your head down, yes sir no sir everything, bust your hump. Make millions
I feel you my friend, but not all people are wired like that.
Many of the elite, athletically, and in other things are more braggadocio and maybe overly proud of who/what they are.
Sometimes that's what makes them who/what they are.

Not everyone can just be a soldier.

This is completely inaccurate.

And the fact that he in some fantasy land wasn't, he was right there with Charlton as our consideration for this team while on the clock. It is not some sort of secret.

We blew the pick. You just can't handle that fact.

Another draft projection

DRAFT PROJECTION
Round 2
SOURCES TELL US
"He looked a lot stronger and a lot more confident on tape this year. He needs to get bigger, but he's already a strong guy. I can see him standing or playing base end for a 4-3 team. He's going to keep getting better." -- Midwest area scout for AFC team
NFL COMPARISON
Paul Kruger
BOTTOM LINE
A long-limbed effort rusher who posted impressive numbers against the run and pass in just one year as a starter. He is a tireless worker who pursues from snap to whistle and his brother, J.J., will be a tremendous resource for technique and pass-rush plan. While he is unlikely to win a race to the edge, he's a plus run defender who can get to the quarterback with plus hand work and relentless effort.

Taco's problem is mental not on field ability. His production was better than 2017 miami 1st rounder harris who they gave away to the dolphins for a 7th round pick. it was such a bad year for defensive ends.

LOL...…….stop, just stop. The guy completely sucks. He has NO talent on top of the fact that he is a complete moron.

You were 100% dead wrong about Taco, he is a complete bust and nothing you say can change that fact.

That's one first round pick that's going to forever sting.

Followed closely by Hill.

Thanks, Rod.. Just.. thanks.
Hill got one last chance to prove he wasn’t the worst
Right now taco got that trophy but hill is a strong contender to take that title

There were teams that didn't even have Taco above the fifth round.

Summary: Michigan has big group of prospects for the 2017 NFL Draft and in speaking with NFL sources, Charlton is the heavy favorite to be the first Wolverine drafted. The media hype would suggest Jabrill Peppers, but NFL teams are a lot more excited about Charlton. A 6-foot-6, 277-pounder with speed and athleticism is a tough commodity to find, so Charlton will have plenty of teams interested in drafting him in the first round.
