Dallas is ESPN's Darling? LOL.This is what I have been screaming. **** Dallas. They are always so overrated. Its good to see someone who dosent take everything the sock puppets on ESPN say. Dallas' D is pretty much a poor man's phins D. Good front 7, but not nearly as good as Miami's and no secondary at all. Miami's secondary is better too.
Nice quote to give us...as the bears were eventually crowned NFC champions. Were talking about a team that completely folded down the stretch last year and gave the division to the Smeagles. Going 9-7 in the NFC is not impressive. Romo might be the most overrated player since Vick. Camera's follow TO everywhere who is a good receiver but, not as great as he is made out to be. Dallas has alot to prove. I think we will shut them down this week. To take a line from Denny Green, NOW! If you wanna crown em' then crown their arse. But they arent who ESPN thinks they are.
A Commanders fan rooting on Miami...The Skins are better then you think and Dallas is alot worse then you think. Its like with Dallas, people look at what there O did and say that it was real but what there D did wasnt? Come on now. If that wasnt there true D then that definatly wasnt there true O either. You guys will win this game and at worst its like a 55/45 game in terms of percentage. That team is not mentally strong enough to play on the road. Im just shocked at all the people on here who think that you will lose or have to play the perfect game to beat them. Please. Oh yeah I forgot, Wade Phillips? Is there any other guy standing on the sidelines in the NFL that looks like any less of a HC then this guy? Ill take Cam & Capers over him any day of the week. Dallas is a media creation every year and people still fall for it
A Dolphin fan responds to that Washington supportwe have a shot because its a home game. dallas is going to be a lot better than washington imo. i bet you guys lose to the iggles sunday
A more analytical post.Random thoughts:
-Dallas' defense didn't get as much pressure on Eli Manning as I thought they would given all the press that the Giants had a huge hole at LT. I'm not so sure that the Dallas DL is significantly above average.
-On a related point, is it just my perception or does Dallas seem to always give up big passing plays? Do you think Cameron can take advantage of this, and maybe we can get some deep passing plays?
-My main concern for Miami will not be Owens or Witten, but Marion Barber...I'm not sure why Dallas doesn't give him the rock more often.
-I wrote at the start of the year that I think the Dolphins are a 5-7 win team, but what I didn't share with others here is that I think the Cowboys are significantly overrated. I didn't pick them to make the playoffs, and in my annual over/under game that I play with my friends they were one of my best bets to go under. Sunday night's win over the Giants didn't change my opinion, b/c I think that game was more about horrible pass defense than it was about the awesomeness of Romo.
So, what I'm trying to say here is that I think Miami is talented enough to keep this close and win this game.
The Cowboys, like many teams last week, do need to work out some kinks on Defense. However, they are way too fast and explosive for us to keep them at bay. Expect another week of us not establishing a running game, and Trent having little time to pass the ball. I wouldn't be surprised if they top us by 10+ pts.
I watched the Cowboys and Giants last night and the Cowboys looked pretty good on offense. With Bell out and Daniels holding down the #2 corner…It does not look good.
Sorry to say 0-2 to start the season
I have a really bad feeling about this one. I see Romo, Witten and TO burning the crap out of the secondary. Then we will get behind and they will run the ball on us to make it worst.
On top of that I fear T. Green being knocked out of the game. WASH has a terrible DL and very average front 7, but Dallas is loaded with talent up front. They have not played well last year or against the Giants, but watch out this sunday. I predicted before the season started that this would be a rough one, and that we will see just how bad the Miami's OL really is in this game.
I can only hope I am dead wrong which is often the case. This is a make or break game for Miami. Better not go to NYJ 0-2 because it could unravel pretty fast from there. They do not have the confidence, the talent or the depth to rise from a 0-2 start, let alone a 0-3 or 0-4!
Dallas 31 Miami 20
T. Green gets knocked out in the 2nd quarter.
The PessimistsWell, anything can happen any Sunday, but I think we are going to get whipped in this game. I happen to believe the Cowboys match up very well against us and I think Marion Barber (and Julius Jones for that matter) could be a real problem for us. Our greatest hope, as evidenced in the Cowboys game last week, would be our passing game and I don't think we are good enough in that arena to keep up with the Cowboys.
I also think that losing two in a row would be a huge wake up call/gut check for the Dolphins and I would expect that they could go one a small winning streak (1-2 games) after the loss. Pure speculation on my part, and I'd love to pound the Cowboys, but I just dont think we will.
Keys To VictoryIf we see these three things sunday I believe we will win.
1. 1 or less sacks allowed
2. 4 or more sacks against Dallas
3. 24 or more pts on the board
It may be asking for alot, but its not impossible.
I disagree. We have better pass rush and WRs then the Cowboys.
The Optimiststhink what Miami will attempt to overload the side that Roy Williams is in, thus putting him in coverage.
After thinking about this I just have this wierd feeling Miami is going to win this game. Don't ask me how but something tells me this will be the upset of the day. I have no rationale for why I feel this way but I just think the Fins are going to pull it out.

As in the sentence, "Please don't kill me."
Too bad Anthony "The Hitman" Spencer" doesn't believe in magic.
"The Hitman" puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".
