Dez' shadow is going to linger over this team for a long timeJust because you move on doesn't mean everyone else has to lol. I'm a big Dez fan. I've moved on. I'll root for him on Sunday's outside of if he plays the Cowboys. But he's been here 8 years. This isn't a release you can expect everyone to get over with in a couple of days.
We already have two 88s in the RoH.I am a big Dez fan, and think it was a mistake to cut him. I own a Dez Bryant jersey. I think the issues are 1) Dak needs to improve dramatically, and 2) the passing scheme run by the Cowboys is not as creative as it needs to be.
Having said that, it's time to move on. This is my final post concerning Dez on this board, or at least until he returns to be inducted in the Ring of Honor after he retires. I don't see the point in belaboring the issue. Hopefully, after today (Sunday), the Dez threads will dry up on this Board - or at least get moved into the NFL zone instead of the Cowboys zone, or maybe the Drama zone.
He's no longer a Cowboy. Whatever your point of view, I suggest getting it out of your system, and letting the discussions end after today. There are less than two weeks before the draft, and a hundred other things to talk about.
Please. I'm begging you. Let's move on.
I agree. And no one should have to move on just to appease other Cowboy fans. People on this site still reminisce about Romo and blame Dak for why he's no longer here.Dez' shadow is going to linger over this team for a long time
No one needs to move on

If the player who leads the franchise in touchdowns doesn't make the ROH than it will just make the ROH even more of a joke than it is. Charles Haley is in there. And I love Charles Haley and what he did for this team but you can't put Charles Haley in there and omit a player like Dez.We already have two 88s in the RoH.
I don't see the player making it in.
You think this team has lol? Jason Witten may have. Jason Garrett may have. Stephen Jones may have. But I recommend you check and see what fellow Cowboys have said since Dez's departure.Well, I’m glad the team has.
And, I wish most fans would, because he’s no longer a Dallas Cowboy.
I don’t think I would’ve cared as much if Dallas cut Dez when GB cut Nelson or even if we traded him.
The botching of this whole saga ticks me off more than the possible mistake of cutting one arguably one of our best players. This kind of thing makes the entire organization look bad...other marquee players around the league are commenting on how wrong we did Dez.
Dez is gone but this was far from a concise, unanimous decision. If Dak struggles this year, there will be more friction from the people in the organization that wanted to keep Dez. A lot of “I told you so” will surely be heard at The Star. This speaks volumes about how horribly this team is run. At least in the past, Jerry was the sole decision maker...now we have a committee of people running the team.

Drink some more Haterade...... he is gone but not forgottenThat's laughable. Put him in the ring of honor for being a mental midget, a team cancer, trashing the team on the way out the door?
Dez probably threw out his chance of going to the ring of honor when he trashed the organization on the way out the door.

Yep. I've seen it all. No one is just gonna "get over it".Check the fan base too

He didn't trash the organization. He trashed certain people. He spoke very well of Jerry who's in charge of the ROH. Mental midget, team cancer, trashing the team....you are aware that we have guys in the ROH who have done that? Are you even aware of what the ROH is?That's laughable. Put him in the ring of honor for being a mental midget, a team cancer, trashing the team on the way out the door?

Yeah and Ware, Witten and Romo don't have rings either with the Cowboys. How many rings does Don Meredith have? or Don Perkins?Haley has rings.
I'm not putting him in. Doubt Stephen does.
Ware and Romo aren't there... yet.
Witten will be there.
I honestly don't think he goes in. Especially on how he's acting now.
