Donovan Wilson is always out of position

He doesn't fit today's game. He is a major liability in the pass game and just offers the occasional big hit.
 
Donovan Wilson is still a baller. Yet he’s not really the best fit for the position they are asking him to play. Wilson would probably be best used as a nickel linebacker. Name one player that looks good with this scheme.

Yup, most of the defense looks like they are running away from RBs and WRs when they run routes. Well, they appear to avoid them on handoffs too.

Horrible DC hire, but Stephen says, "we simplified the defensive signals and everything is good now".

Jerry added, "I think we are one player away from the SB. Anyone wants some draft picks?"

All is good.

he is an inbox saftey forced to play a roaming saftey and doesn't know what he is doing. he has never been good in coverage to begin with. now older. slower. its worse.
 
Wilson bits on double moves and allows guys to run past him, cant cover, he's not a safety
 
He’s never been that good. Hes always been overrated. The cowboys haven’t taken the safety position seriously in 20 years.

Many of us have been arguing that this defensive roster was pure dung from the get go, but I remember more than a few telling us how good this linebacker group was......funny that the same folks are now either just blaming Eberflush or just biting their tongues right now.

Even if this defense was 100% healthy they would still be bottom 5 in the NFL..........2026 is the earliest to expect anything other than embarrassment from this group
 
Don’t get me started……Wilson is not a cover safety. He’s Kearse. He’s Roy Williams light before him. He cannot cover
 
Alijah Clark was a well thought of UDFA . Play him and Juanyeh Thomas at safety . As much as I think he’s undersized play Wilson as a hybrid LB and have him and Liufau flanking James . The most Wilson should cover is a TE .
 
As coaches it’s your duty to put the best most effective 11 on the field and if they struggle in zone let the secondary play man . Coaches have to adjust .

Remember how Dan Quinn adjusted/reworked his scheme to fit the players?

Eberflus is forcing players to fit his scheme

Wilson is a SS being forced to play more like a FS. It’s not his strength

Diggs & Bland do well in man. They’re playing more zone
 
He seems to be the only one making tackles at the LOS in the run game but can't cover in zone or man
