Don't blame the coaches for the loss

We did some things that no other team hand done versus the Pats. We also made the right decisions late in the game: Both going for it on 4th down and kicking the FG to get within 11 (although I think the fade to Hurd was a horrible call).

It was the players that lost the game. 12 penalties, several of which were critical (one preventing us from getting a big first down on a fourth down play) is about lack of concentration. I think there were at least 50-60 yards that were lost on those penalties, in addition to the penalty yards. On top of that, I can't even remember how many times they got a first down on third and long. On at least one occasion, after converting a third and long, they scored a TD on the next play.

I think the coaches did a lot of things right, but the penalties and bad execution were on the players. Yes, it didn't help that the referees made several lame calls.

I have one suggestion for Wade. TO can't be covered 1 on 1, so if that's the case, why can't we fade to him when we're in the red zone? They do this with Moss, we can do this with TO.

I don't see where you can blame the coaches for this performance, these players need to be held accountable. Phillips coached the same scheme last year in San Diego against this same New England team so let's not go there.

We tried this on the two point conversion vs. Buffalo. That didn't end up too well.

Our scheme today will not beat the Pats offense.

You can't run a base 3-4 against a spread offense and expect to win.

Apples and oranges, Moss has better hands than TO does.

I think that was the main point of his thread.

I think if we want to run the fade, we should run the back shoulder fade that was so successful last year. The straight fade hasn't been very good.
