I can't imagine how anyone has ever questioned this guys toughness. If you have then you're quite frankly a complete idiot. Flat out.

The guy tried to come back in against the Giants with a fractured collarbone. He played with broke ribs and a punctured lung. Sunday with his back finally having to give out from carrying this team all the time all he did was pick them up, put them on his bad back, and carried them again to a must win.

Denying how tough this guy is just makes a person look beyond stupid.
You were doing good until you said the phrase "carrying this team". Then carry this team to the Super Bowl.

Never seen ANYONE question his toughness. He is a very psychically tough QB. With that said, he is a mentally weak QB.

I feel that to play the QB position in the NFL with a broken rib, punctured lung, herniated disk, etc. you have to be both physically and mentally tough at the same time.

No way to seperate the two and play that postion injured.

Unlike other positions, the QB not only has to endure the pain while playing, he also has to call plays in the huddle, read defenses, make decisions on the fly, .. and continue to show leadership.

Also unlike other positions, when playing injured he can never take a play off.

Anyone can say what they want about Romo, but he is one tough kid in every way on the football field.

Romo has proven he's extremely tough. Don't think that's ever been an issue. The rest is debateable, especially his play in Dec/Jan.

There is a difference between being "tuff" and decision making. No question the guy is tuff as nails. However, and this is what gets me, his process for making decisions does not make sense. He has won some big games in the past but fails during the play offs. Why? That's the million dollar question.....

My problem with romo is that he seemed to go into panic mode too easily and does not trust the game plan and bails.

He is like a basketball point guard that trusts his own athletic skill more than the team and he freelances too often.

He does make breathtaking plays but a team does not win consistently when your Qb leads by bailing on the game plan and trying to do too much on his own.

That is my take on romo after years of observation. I like the guy. I pull for the guy. But at times during the games you can literally see the offense coming undone and panic mode set in.

The dude is one tough S.O.B. To have suffered that kind of an injury (if it truly is the rumored herniated disc), then turn around and will the team to a victory, speaks volumes for his heart. I wish him the best in his recovery, we'll need him if we're going to make another run next year.

year after year we we watch Romo struggle to find a way to get pass our O-line, our poor Def, our horrible coaching and every year (the past 2 years) we are always in the position to take the East. Not many teams can say that they are always in the spot to win their division. It sucks that we have come up short the past 2 years but just the fact that each year he's had to overcompensate for the teams short comings and we still somehow find ourselves to take the East should prove to all the Romo haters that he is by far the most valuable player on the roster.

Well Garrett is the guy drawing up the game plan......................not surprised Romo laughs at it and just starts playing streetball.

I never said this guy was John Elway.

And beyond that your remark has zero to do with his toughness. The guy is taking shots and doing whatever he can this week to try to do just that.

No they aren't going to make the Superbowl but the guy is doing all he can to try and play Sunday so he can give them a shot to get into the playoffs and try to go after just that.

Vote for Romo:

For the record, I've been asking for a young QB to groom for the past 3 years.

Well, me too.
Many heathens and mens don't remember to recall that a drated QB takes 2 or maybe 3 years to sit and learn.
So this year we need a young QB. then start drafting for D like there is no tomorrows.

Romo's toughness is remarkable physically or mentally. Does he make mistakes, yes. If anything his mistakes happen when he tries too hard to do the right thing. If he was mentally weak he would have folded long ago, his career would have followed the Jim Everett trajectory.

You can always tell who a Cowboy fan is, especially during a time like this. Even if you don't like the guy, it's indisputable that he's by far our best chance to win. When you're not even fazed that your team's best chance to win is gone, you're not a Cowboy fan, I don't care how long you've been a "fan" ... You may think you are, but not really.

*Just talking in general, not directed at anyone specifically*
I agree with you BUT, I would rather have a healthy Orton than have Romo out there when he shouldn't be and that could very well happen.

Yeah, last week's results in a final drive that would end the season if they failed proved it. Mentally weak for sure!

They didn't know at the time it would have ended the season, that was not determined until AFTER that game. If we knew before the game, Romo probably would have had some bad mental lapses. Also, don't act like it was a big deal that Romo threw a pass on 4th down to win the game. It was a 3-12 team.

The crap these Romo bashers come up with is amusing ... I take it you've never played sports huh? Anyways, that's besides the point.

Here's a question bud. Honestly, if Romo had thrown a season ending interception on that last drive, would you have docked him for another loss on his "win or go home" record?

Whatever you say, I know dang well you would've been shouting at the top of your lungs here that Romo can't close out in "win or go home games", because that's what it essentially was. You can deny it, but we all know how you are. Carry on.

What impressed me the most is that when I got hit, and the sock came down, it had to feel like a knife to the back, and he completed the pass for the 1st down anyway!

Guy is a stud, and it sickens me that he's been coached by the yahoo all these years. Please Jerry give him one more chance at his career and bring in a qualified OC/HC.
