You still havent figured out that the QB is depended on the players and scheme around him. With the Oline collapsing and the receivers dwindling, he had a much harder time. AS a young QB that is expected.

IF all you see is a QB and dont pay attention to anything around him then its no wonder.

I call you a troll because of all the uncalled for, laughable things you said about Dak. Trolls are trolls.

20 million is well below the going rate. If that at all interests you. Its more about knowing the rate then what you think a QB should make.

20 mil is still a good rate for an average qb. If they need to pay a little more they need to I guess. Not like theyd use the extra money to upgrade the roster anyway.

Since his rookie season Dak did bounce back a little in 2018 after a sophomore slump, but he continues to lack consistency. Romo & Sanchez mentored him in his rookie season.

Then Moore, and his final season, he'll have Kitna as his quarterback coach. If Dak doesn't have it in 2019 with 3 different qb coaches/mentors, he'll never have it.

With the franchise tag in the Cowboys' back pocket, there's little reason for them to rush this. Let Dak earn his money in the final year of his rookie deal. And take it from there.

Foles playoff stats were off the charts. It wasnt just one game, it was a nice run that he had. He played like an elite QB and the Eagles had a mediocre running game.
Foles showed the ability to rise up and carry the eagles offense. Now coaching had a lot to do with changing the offense and adapting it to Foles made throws that with accuracy and consistency we havent seen from Dak. He reminds me of when Eli Manning went on his playoff run. Eli and Foles have shown glimpses in the past how accurate and dangerous they can be when they get hot but I just dont see anything in Dak that shows he has that ability.

Lol you haven’t seen Dak have great games?

You must not be watching all the games yet.

You just named two average QB’s who got hot during the playoffs and then used them as justification for your argument that you need an elite QB to beat an elite QB.

Manning, Foles, Flacco, none of them are elite QB’s.

If your argument is that QB’s need to play well to win a super bowl, then duhhhh

No one in the front office is going to agree with you on the "average" QB thing. Young QB's are paid on potential and Dak shows great potential. Besides, "average" or "top 15" QB's get paid 25-30 million per year in this league.

Where do you get 20m from and why? What are basing that off of?

Case contract wasn't that bad especially compared to cousins. Really not even in the same conversation.

    *whispers*

Daks playoff stats are better than all three QBs he mentioned lol. Regular season too obviously. And they were all much older than Dak when they won their first SBs except maybe manning.

Truth is he would have hated those QBs for years before they won one.

Truth be told, any contract that is 25-30 million for ANY QB is dangerous. Look at Aaron Rodgers. Even though his contract isn't too bad compared to some, he and his team didn't play good at ALL this season. That's what happens when a QB (a good one at that) doesn't have any weapons around him or a good defense to back him up. That's what will happen even if we give Prescott a 25 mil contract. I'm thinking 20-23 mil. Everyone is saying that the pay "25-30 is the NFL average." just because it's the average doesn't mean it shouldn't be. They need to lower the average because rosters are taking hits. That said, I hope we will be able to keep Dak. He's a solid QB with a leadership mentality that can't be easily replaced.

Big Ben and Russell Wilson weren’t playing at elite levels yet when they won their Super Bowls either. At least Ben wasn’t for his first.

Now obviously those two had the ability and developed into elite QB’s with some experience.

But they both won titles before they were playing at that level yet. And why? Because of their teams.

Cousins got overpaid so badly it isn’t even funny.

But it wa ms the Vikings. The same team that traded the eagles a first rounder for Sam freaking Bradford.

Lol GB fans and analyst have been saying Rodgers doesn't have weapons around for about 5 years now, long before he signed his contract. I disagreed for 5 years but they've been saying it.

His contract had nothing to do with them not making the playoffs or them not signing anyone, they've been not signing anyone for years . They did sign Jimmy last year though, so there is that.

They have 35m in cap space this year. Lol

I was just using Rodgers as an example. Other QB's that fit this mold are Matt Ryan, Derek Carr, Kirk Cousins, and Matt Stafford.
I was basically just trying to say that paying an QB will not result in any good things.

Cousins just isn't worth the money but his contract didn't hurt them on signing other players, they have good players around him. They have 6.9m in cap space and can create more .

Oak has 71m in cap space.

Det has 31m in cap space.

Atl has 26m in cap space and matt has weapons around him. Lol

All these teams have the money to spend around their qbs big contracts and 2 already have weapons around their qbs.

All I'm saying is, signing a qb to a big contract does not prevent a team from siginng other players and putting a good team together. It's up to the FO to do it. Minn and atl have good player's around their qbs and both have had some success the past few seasons with atl going to a super bowl. The other 2 have been bad for years before they signed their qbs to big contracts.
