Don't forget the call and the non-call

Not trying to make any excuses for a team with so many defensive issues BUT In a game where Dallas held the lead till the final seconds I think the call for tripping on the Cowboys and the lack of a call when the same thing happened to the Cowboys could have easily been the difference in a win or a loss.

My problem with the way the games are being called. We saw it tonight as well

Didn't even seem like the refs discussed it like they did with the first call.

Sure did reek of double standard there just like hitting guys on their way out of bounds a couple of games ago or late hits on QBs pretty much since Romo became starter. I honestly do believe that some refs give us a harder time than they do other teams for personal bias reasons.

These two inconsistent calls coupled with the no hold call against Mo on the long pass to CJ accounted for about 120 yards in Detroits favor. At least 14 points as well.
Calls by the refs can have a bigger impact than many think.
Yes no hold=win. No terribly inconsistent bad calls= win In my opinion.

I would have liked to see the Heath non interception again. At the time I was glad because the field position was better as an incomplete pass. If the drive started out of field goal range do they just take a knee three times, bleed the clock take the delay of game and punt?

This game has been rehashed over and over again unlike any game I can remember.

I certainly hope the team has moved on better than the media and fan base have.

no. you still run the ball. defenses in that situation often play bad technique trying to strip the ball while abandoning the tackle, and a first down ensures.

People say that there is no correlation between penalties and wins, but when you are always playing close games (sometimes intentionally) penalties can be a huge factor, especially when they are disproportionately adverse.

As many people as there is with strong anti jerry feelings I think the refs are no exception. I get the feeling refs have a gameplan too nowadays.

Us losing, and Detroit winning, kept two divisions from becoming uncompetitive.

I hate to even think it, but it sure did help the league for things to turnout the way they did.

They don't seem to respect our sidelines very much - not that you have to yell and scream, but I rarely see Jason demanding a clarification from a ref, unless it's to explain a rule that he didn't understand in the first place.

don't hold and we win

that's it

Don't hold AND don't throw a clock-stopping INC before the 2minute warning which would not have changed the situation for Dallas, but would have either run the clock down to the 2minute warning or forced Detroit to take their 2nd time.

Don't ad lib on the play and "we" win. Tanner should have slammed it up the gut as he was told and the Cowboys win. Biggest challenge I see is games are being decided by spares when the money players are placed in bystander mode.

Yes. The point of this thread, however,is if those calls weren't made then that wouldn't have likely been necessary to win.
