I don't want to hear this Giants are so good crap.

They aren't.

KC is just that bad at times.

All of NYs scores came off of numerous missed tackles.

KC played some of the worst defense I've ever seen in that game. Ever.

And they played great against us right? Cmon people, why do we always have to do this? This is the NFL, which stands for "not for long", and I don't mean what it used to mean when Jerry Glanville was talking to referrees. I'm talking about Jekyl and Hyde football teams, including our own Cowboys from time to time. Best bet? Enjoy every game, enjoy the season, and always hope for the best.

I personally long for the day (old school) when good teams were good and bad teams were bad. I hate it where almost everyone is an 8-8 team, even when their record is 3-13, or 13-3.

To expand on the parity point. Do you realize that 10 of our games have been decided close? 10. that is unreal.

Maybe the Giants should be given just a little more credit than some are willing to give.

The Giants beat the heck out of them on both sides of the ball.

Let's not overreact.......it works both ways you know.

It's actually 11. We clobbered Philly and Arizona, but the rest have been decided by a touchdown or less.

The Chiefs played better against us last week- if they had played as well today theyw ould have won. But they didn't. They made too many mistakes on offense and their D stank up the place. And as usual the refs gave some gifts to the giants.

One play could have won or lost 11 of our 13 games. THAT is unreal.

Total First Downs:
Giants - 22
KC - 22

Total Yards:
Giants - 406
KC - 362

Time of possession:
Giants - 29:29
KC - 30:31

The Giants had an edge, but they definitely didn't beat the heck out of anybody. The game was won and lost by the piss poor KC defense, period.

check this out:

1. Week 1 - win by 4 points
2. Week 2 - loss by 1 point
3. Week 3 - win 3 points
4. Week 4 - loss 6 points
5. Week 5 - win 23 points
6. Week 6 - win 3 points
7. Week 7 - lose 3 points
8. Week 8 - win 21 points
9. Week 9 - win 1 point
10. Week 10 - win 13 points
11. Week 11 - loss 3 points
12. Week 12 - loss 7 points
13. Week 13 - win 3 points

That is 10 games decided by less than a TD. To put it in perspective. If each of the games decided by less than a TD had all swung in one direction or the other, we could have been :

3-10, or 13-0

welcome to the new NFL

I do agree about the refs. Burress was holding BIGTIME on Barber's last TD run. His hold kept a Chiefs defender from making the tackle at about the 7-10 yard line.

I didn't see the game (I had to work....on a Saturday!), so I can't comment on whether the Giants beat the heck out of them.

I do agree 100% the Giants deserve more credit than some are willing to give. They have a solid team and a solid coach. I'd be willing to say, as a whole, their core offensive players are better than what Dallas has. They have a solid defense.

well, i missed the middle of the game. early on the chiefs were running all over them but stupid penalties killing them, taunting by a wr, but a DE for the giants sacks Green and does his show off dance, why isnt that taunting ? If i was an Olineman, next play i would have steamrolled him. Man i get competetive, i hate that kind of crap when im playing.

Bah, im just PO'd i guess. yes its true the giants do what it takes to win, but it really did seem like the chiefs self destructed today, the giants didnt seem dominant to me.

Then again, they whipped us and thats why we are in the position of needing help from KC anyway, so i guess we had our chance and blew it.

Did you guys see the hold on the Johnson TD where Strahan was turned? The refs missed calls for both sides.

It makes no difference. New York wins the division (no...I don't want to hear anymore "maybe" crap...). We are fighting for our lives just to win a wildcard spot, and somehow, I think we'll blow that, too.
And, even if we don't, it will be one dance out on the floor and an early exit to the parking lot.

Next year, Eli Manning will continue to improve....and Drew Bledsoe won't......Parcells will be on the last year of his contract, his house will be finished,.........and so will we.

(just down right now....)

"Beating the heck out of them" is an overstatement on my part.....Let me simply say this they controled the game. KC had opportunities on D as well as O and did not take advantage of those opportunities.

Yes the KC D was pathetic.......and as I said in another response "beating the heck out of them" was an overstatement.

But, the Giant D stopped them when they had too and the Giant OL opened holes for Barber and ,for the most part, protected Eli in passing situations..... The Giants were the better team.....period.

Most definately.

Also, Vermeil still has that "I have a great running back but ooooh I just have to throw it and not sure but deep" syndrome.

They could have won that game easy if they would have just pounded the ball with Johnson.

The Cowboys definately have to winout...
