Tony Dungy did this going into the playoffs last year and it came back to bite him big time.

Parcells gave our guys 3 whole days off. After the Saturday night game he said "I'll see these guys on Wednesday". I was a little shocked to hear that at the time. I really think that had a lot to do with the way we showed up (or actually didn't show) in the Eagles game and I sincerely hope Parcells learned his lesson.

Yeah, I doubt the Parcells of old would've been satisfied enough with that Saturday night performance against the Falcons to give them that much rest.

It really wasn't impressive at all, imo, let alone impressive enough to give the players that much time off.

I agree that this time off might have contributed to the loss.
