I believe that we will bring in a QB to experiment with the Wildcat formation and play some WR. Jerry even eluded to it. However, it will not be Pat White. Jerry will be looking at this guy late in the draft or as an undrafted FA:

04/14/09 - The Bears brought in a quarterback to Halas Hall on Monday. But they might have other plans for Julian Edelman. Some clubs believe the Kent State quarterback projects as a wide receiver in the NFL or perhaps a contributor on special teams. He could run the wildcat also after becoming the second quarterback in school history to pass for 1,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards in the same season. The first? Cleveland Browns electric return man Josh Cribbs. The interest seems genuine. Edelman worked out for the Bears at his school last Thursday and then the club flew him in for a visit to Halas Hall, a trip that likely included a medical evaluation. He is making the rounds this week. According to the Record-Courier, Edelman will visit Miami on Wednesday and San Francisco on Friday, the last day draft prospects can make official visits to clubs. The Dallas Cowboys have reportedly shown interest in Edelman also. He's a shade under 6-foot, 195 pounds and was clocked in the 40-yard dash at his pro day in 4.52 seconds. He's a good athlete with a 10-3 broad jump and a 36 1/2-inch vertical jump. He was a punt returner for the Golden Flashes and also was a safety on the punt team. Teams could be lining up to woo him as a priority free agent based on the late interest. - Brad Biggs, The Chicago Sun Times

03/31/09 - KSU quarterback Julian Edelman’s pro stock may be on the rise because of the growing popularity of the Wildcat offense in the NFL. Edelman would give teams a true quarterback with running-back talent to run the set, instead of lining up with an actual running back taking the snap out of the shotgun. The Miami Dolphins, who brought the Wildcat to the NFL last season with running back Ronnie Brown, have already shown an interest in Edelman. The Dallas Cowboys, who are believed to be interested in incorporating a version of the Wildcat into their offense, are also rumored to be looking at the Flashes’ star. Edelman was a guest on Dallas ESPN radio station 103.3 FM just last week. With more and more teams in the traditionally copy-cat league thinking of adding the Wildcat, Edelman could become a bigger commodity than he would have been in previous drafts. - David Carducci, Ravenna Record Courier

03/22/09 - KSU quarterback Julian Edelman made a strong impression in his pro day workout March 12. Edelman ran a 4.48-second 40-yard dash, had a vertical leap of 36 1/2 inches and a broad jump of 10 feet, 3 inches. He ran a 3.91-second shuttle; NFL types asked him to run again because they didn't believe the number. Those stats are more than impressive for a guy who is being looked at as an NFL receiver and who, if drafted, would go second day. ''He's a really skilled guy — similar to [Antwaan] Randle El and Seneca Wallace,'' a league insider said. ''He can play 'Wildcat,' return kicks, and he may be the next Wes Welker as a wide receiver.'' High praise, but Kent State has a reputation for producing athletes who go on to succeed in the pros. - Patrick McManamon, The Akron Beacon Journal
