Don't take the cheese

If you told me in August that I could choose between a season like 21-23 or a season like this, I'd take this season every time.

Cruising through the regular season only to get humiliated early in the PO's vs early humiliation followed by a rising from the ashes with a chance to make something happen.

We're looking at five playoff games before the playoffs start. If they fall short, we still end up in the same place we did in 21-23.
agreed! People talk about "peaking at the tright time". It's possible we're seeing it here...I'll take that shot at the playoffs after all if we go in hungry and not prima donna party planners.

I'm enjoying it. Everyone can do the same, it's WAY better than the constant whining.
I've told the Haters Of The Haters  before....just get this team winning. A couple years ago I even observed Mountaineer credit Dak for a good win/streak. But then the team failed on us and he went back to his thing right quick. I almost expect him to bop in sometime with some kind words..

Yes...Cowboys fans are spoiled. We have a history and tradition of winning, but it's been awhile since we won something more meaningful than a playoff spot (and then soil our pants in it) or MVP runner up. Younger fans don't even know.

It's fine that some people maintain high enthusiasm through troubled times. Other people don't get on as well with it. BUT...most of them still hang in there regardless of a bit of venting grumbling. They deserve that every bit as much as cheerleaders. Why hate THEM? No reason other than narcssism and self-importance. Some people wear paper bags on their heads some don't. Still all fans.

Just win...see what happens. It doesn't HAVE to be an instant super bowl. Some people say Dak detractors will never be happy. Both should get a chance to test it.

Now with all this new found love from the media, can the Cowboys continue to battle and defy odds?
This will be the true test. If this team plays like it has the past 3 weeks, we beat Detroit.
Stay hungry my friends.
The media has zero to do with football.

Well first of all we don't play the game fans can choose To be overconfident or under confident it doesn't matter what we're doing out here we don't play you gotta hope the Cowboys team is not overconfident and not taking the cheese,

Doesn't even you need to bring this same type of blue collar physical in all three phases playing for each other not getting too high not getting too low just knowing what the job is at hand and finding a way to get that accomplished...

I thought the Eagles game was the real test? And then it was the KC game that was the real test? WTH?
This is true but I think the point is some people trying to make since the Raiders game now there's a three game stretch in which there's new film out and now teams can go back and look at that and make adjustments so now it's going to be a weekly test to try to keep this going even now at teams no it's coming and now what are your adjustments what are your counters going to be...

When you put yourself in a position though like the Cowboys have to where it's like the playoffs started with the Raiders game you have to pretty much win out and yes I understand there might be a one game That we can lose but it started then we're gonna basically a playoff so every week is a new test...

I’m eating so much cheese right now, I won’t be using the bathroom for weeks.

lol :lmao: you gonna be blocked up for a while homie....

Yeah ,that's OK for fans to do though.. But we're hoping that team the Dallas Cowboys keep focus and not overconfident they need to not be eating cheese It's OK for the fans to get a little excited we finally get to see a good brand of football three straight weeks and that's nice..

This is what matters, fans can go crazy as they want to, THE PLAYERS better keep thier heads down and know what is ahead of them is a huge challenge and will require excelent play every down- every week.

At this point why not take the cheese? The only thing for fans to keep in mind is despite the optimism the playoffs are still a long shot. Regardless though you're getting meaningful football games after Thanksgiving from a team on trending up. If nothing else it should generate some excitement for 2026.
Clearly. It was more an overall idea for the team. Watching meaningful football in December is everything!

It can if that noise gets back to the players and some players are smelling themselves hearing their success... They may not have a direct effect on team but when they start making the Cowboys favorites instead of underdogs when they start talking up the Cowboys you never know when that leaks out in the locker room who knows we've seen our teams of the past not handle success very well....

I like blue cheese or sharp cheddar with jalapeños

How is looking at the reality of acquiring Pickens and Williams being eating the cheese?

I would say ignoring the fact they had a great draft, stole Pickens and ended up doing pretty well on the Parsons' trade makes you a hater. Time will tell if Jerry turns the momentum into something worthwhile, but I am going to celebrate finally having some tangible hope for the future.

Its tough man, i pray Jerry has seen the light but 30 years of bull headeness has me being cautious.

Have to resist, one week at a time.

Thats what has kept me going all year.

Ty for keeping things in perspective. Many aren't . The media loves to build us up in order to tear us down. Stay honed in guys. We don't play these games on paper. Teams have pride just like we do. Especially Detroit coached by their beloved HC. I expect a yeoman's effort from them. We better match it.
what perspective? “we beat detroit” lol. it’s bet hedging. just be excited or don’t

We take it one game at at time and it will hopefully work out..and who cares what the media idiots say, I've tuned them out years ago and im better off for it.

We are capable of losing again, unfortunately.
Easily

And it could even come against a weak division foe...who will be desperate to play spoiler if the Cowboys are on a win streak trying to make the playoffs.

A good coaching staff does not allow that BS to impact anything.
