Now I'm reading we are bringing in another OG from the Bengals for a visit.

Maybe but I can't see him all of sudden becoming a player worth passing on what is considered a top player at his position once he's into the NFL.

If Callahan wants to work with him and try to get a player out of him, that's cool with me.

Relying on Callahan as being some miracle worker and taking a guy who's never really done much and turning him into a starter is a stretch, IMO.

He started quite a few games for a 7th rounder... I'll defer to Callahan as a legit NFL coach and we'll see what happens...

I hate that mentality. If you're sitting at 14 and the G is the clear cut best player, you take him. David Arkin and/or Bill Nagy shouldn't even enter the equation.

I think he can play OC as well though. Maybe he plays that for the Cowboys? Or, it may simply mean the end of Holland and Dockery as the team wants younger guys with more upside.

I agree with this. The team wants younger guys. If Decastro is there they can draft him and Nagy can compete for the starting center job. Would give us more size on the inside and that would be a huge upgrade from last year.

Where's the cutoff for a guard?

I don't get how there's some magic cut off point somewhere in the middle of the round where it makes it okay to take a guard.

The idea of taking a less highly rated prospect because your picking 5-6 spots too soon for a guy with a much higher likelihood of turning into a dominant player just seems laughable.

Not considering that certain players fit schemes is lacking.

For instance there are players currently on this roster that can play better in Callahan's zone blocking scheme than Hudson Houck's man scheme.

It not about passing on the Guard for me as much as it is what has been said by Jerry and the team regarding Defense during this process.

Plus the quality of the DL prospects that should be available is outstanding.

Am I wrong in assuming that Nagy will be sliding over to center? I mean, our pursuit of guards make it seem like someone would be moving over, and Nagy would be the logical and best candidate.

My gut says they'll go after a pass rusher first, and if none are available, they'll look to DeCastro, and then to trading down.

I say go DeCastro or if we can trade down a bit and pick up a third, Glenn. In round 2 there will be a d-linemen worth taking. We may have to move up a bit to get him, but there will be one

Arkin just needed time to adjust to the big league. He's said to have put on 15 lbs.

There is NO way that the 'Boys are giving up on these two. None. Book it now. We will not draft a guard in the first round.

It will be Cox or Brockers. Maybe Barron in a trade down.
