2 injured in Florida hot air balloon crash

NFL player Donte Stallworth injured in crash

Two people, including pro football player Donte Stallworth, were hospitalized Saturday after the hot air balloon they were riding in crashed into power lines in Miami, police said.

A third passenger in the balloon was not injured.

Police responded to calls at around 10 a.m. about the basket of the hot air balloon crashing into the power lines while airborne.

Stallworth said he flashed his lights but the power lines just wouldn't get out of the way.

Guys, I'm not minimizing anyone's pain but its definitely a story about karma. Man bites dog, or in this case - Man bites mode of transportation and mode of transportation bites back.

Nah as far as I'm aware of the story I always had a lot of pity for Stallworth. It was the morning after he'd been drinking, he was marginally over the limit and the guy ran out in front of him. If I've the wrong end of the stick then please correct me, a random American Football player wasn't that big a story over here and it was - I think - before I started following the sport, but if that is what happened then I think that's a totally different scenario from Brent, Ratliff etc who're out drinking and decide to drive home.

Binge drinking and driving while still drunk is stupid period. Although I do think the jaywalker bears a large responsibility and can understand giving him probation. Although DUI/DWI violators tend to get probation anyway.

My problem with the earlier poster had more to do with finding my joke distasteful (where Stallworth reportedly wasn't hurt badly) but thought his playing in traffic joke was fine although Stallworth killed that guy - hypocrite.
