I cannot say enough gud things about Crayton's performance Sunday.

Suffice to say he looked solid as a No. 2.

And when Hurd and Austin come back that will further nail the door on another WR.

At least until next year. But with the salaries some blue-chippers might want next year and T.O. seemingly becoming ageless and wanting the ball often, I cannot see us getting a marquee WR next year. Except for the draft, but that is light-years away.

Jerra has made his decision. He wants another backup QB but he's jus fine and dandy with T.O. Crayton, Witten and others coming out of the backfield. And why wouldn't he???

Romo shared the ball well among those guys. A forceful and versatile passing attack we have, fellas.

Yeah, I hope we can work Bennet into the mix as well as Felix out of the back field. Maybe throw Adam Jones in on O a little once Newman come back?

Did our salary cap situation for next year suddenly go south or something? I doubt that $$$ will be an issue landing another wide receiver. The real question will be who. My money's on Roy Williams.

I can't stand Crayton as a person..... Talks big and plays small in Big Games.

But I will pull for him on Sundays to make plays.

And I am glad he is stepping up his game....

I would love to add him to the mix.

Sound reasoning, except.

T.O. is not ageless. And Jerry and company will be positioning for the yearas after T.O.

Will that be a Roy Williams or another established player? Or a rookie?

Don't know. But one game without any play by Austin ans against a team not known for their pass defense doesn't settle this issue.

It makes me feel better about this year. But one ding to T.O. and we will see exactly how set we are.

Me too.

But what will do to the chemistry?

Will T.O. accept aother No. 1 WR to share the ball and perhaps take the spotlight off of him?

nonetheless, it is a long time until next offseason.

It willl be interesting. Me, I'd rather build through the draft. T.O. will accept a young marquee player a lot more easier than a veteran. IMHO, though my opinions are pretty much the truth. :)

I thought Crayton looked solid at times and not so solid other times last year being thrust into the starting lineup.

This year I absolutely knew he would step up and improve amongst all the outcry here to pick up another top flight WR. For the money being paid to top tier WRs it would have not made sense. Crayton will work just fine in my opinion.

I agree that Hurd and Austin returning to the lineup will only solidify the passing attack even more.

Hey how about the DB performance yesterday? Pretty nice compared to last year's opener.

If the Lions continue losing they will go ahead and unload him.

Agreed with one caveat...Consistency...So long as this is the Crayton we'll be seeing, then I agree...If he ends up going MIA for a few games, not so sure

It was good to see Stanback in getting some reps also.

I'm just so gratified by Jason Garrett's offensive that, yes, I and probably others have neglected the DBs. And the line. And the O-line. Christmas came early this year . . . . I get emotional from these type of games. . . . No, that is not a tear in my eye. Just some pepper spray that cute girl at the mall keeps squirting in my eyes.

The Clevland Browns are just not a very good football team, personally I think they are medicore at best.

They were missing receivers and Braylon Edwards, if I am not mistaken, barely played in the Preseason.

Not to mention that they have one of the worst secondaries in the NFL. Troy Aikman pointed this out several times.

Do they need another receiver, not sure, but I don't think you walk away from this game saying the door is closed.

I agree. Losing to the rookie Matt Ryan and the Falcons was not a good start to what has been promoted will be a great season in Detriot.

There are a lot of games left, but I was kinda shocked how easily Atlanta ran down their throats. That's not a good omen for stopping the rushing attacks of Green Bay, Minnesota and Chicago. If the Lions can't win inside the NFC North, their season is toast.

Oh, and I hope the door has slammed forever on opportunistic Joe Horn.

He was yakking on the radio maybe 10 days ago how he could mentor the young receivers, use his experience, yak-yak-yak, blah-blah-blah.

I think we are set on WR. This bunch is a cohesive unit. Probably, by committee, the best in the NFL yesterday.

Did anybody watch the Falcon/Lions game or just look at the box score and see Roy Williams with a touchdown?

He was getting manhandled by Brent Grimes! You can give him that lame excuses that the Lions are bad but if you saw the game Roy didn't get any separation from him in one on one coverage. Even the touchdown Roy caught was barely caught after a Falcons challenge. Bottom line, be careful what you wish for.

They get Green Bay next. If unproven Aaron Rodgers also beats them and they are 0-2 panic will set in.

The trade deadline is always the Tuesday after the 6th week. That puts it at October 14th this year. They have their bye week in between now and then.

I think a 1-4 start opens the door. For that matter so does 0-3.

I watched quite a bit of it and I'll agree that Roy Williams looked disinterested.

A few times I saw him not even running full speed on his routes which surprised me.

It also made me wonder if things aren't really bad between the team and him.

He has played like that the past few seasons. He doesn't impress me at all which is probrably why Jerrys not willing to trade for him and give him some huge deal. He is Randy Moss with alot less talent. Both of them are quitters.
