A 1994 Hall of Fame inductee, Tony Dorsett combined for 16,347 yards and 91touchdowns rushing and receiving.

Former Oklahoma running back Adrian Peterson is off to a fast start as a rookie with Minnesota.

Dorsett received advice early in his career from another Viking, Chuck Foreman. Dorsett offers similar advice for Peterson:

"Did I see him (Peterson) jump the other day against Dallas? The one thing you have to do is stay on the ground. He better stay on the ground. He's a ground carrier.Chuck Foreman said to me, ‘You better stop jumping. The reason why is if you ever get caught in the air, and somebody hits you on that knee, you're at the mercy of that hit.' Dad-gum, if it wasn't the next game, I got out, I'm diving over the top, I get hit on the knee, and I thought they tore my leg off. Fortunately, I was able to recover from it.

"That's the one thing I would tell Adrian. Try to stay away from jumping as much as you can. This is a business, and take it as a business. If an opportunity presents itself, take full advantage of it.”

If anything I could say that this cab was rare, but I said "Nah, forget it - yo holmes - I've clearly deduced from Dorsett's comments that Roy Williams sucks".

"Man, if I were Roy Williams I would take exception to Mel publically critiquing my play. If he has advise, talk to me privately. I find that just a bit disrespectful."

Oh wait, wrong thread.

When I saw Peterson go air born like that I was thinking you will not last long in this league doing that. Besides injury you risk the turnover as the ball gets away from your body when you go up like that.

Adrian Peterson should move to linebacker.

He needs to gain a couple of pounds and he will make a great ILB.

Donnie Edwards only weighs 227; so, Adrian is ok.

My expert opinion is that he needs to add 10-15 lbs. He should talk to Merriman about that I'm sure he has some "connections" to get him "supplements" to assist with that task.
