I'm not trying to stir the pot, but I can't help but note:

Romo goes 8-18 yesterday, Henson goes 12-16 yesterday. Both lead their groups to 2 TD's.

Henson needs to play better, Romo needs to step it up. Both get this word from their head coach.

I read the practice reports every day and I'll bet you Romo has thrown at least twice as many interceptions as Henson.

Yet there is a group on this board that buries Drew Henson at every opportunity and treats Tony Romo like a god.

I'm sorry, I've seen more of Drew Henson in game action than Tony Romo and I still like Henson's upside better. I'll take either one doing well, and that is as sincere a statement as I can make, but I am absolutely weary of the double standard.

I never liked Henson... he did play for the Yankees and the Boys did give up a 3rd round pick for him... But I must admit watching the pics of the scrimmage I'm glad he went back to his old throwing motion!

looks alot better even in the 1 still shot posted on here!!!

Who cares? Reports from people actually watching the camp with their own eyes think differently while you are sitting here trying to make some sense out of numbers.

What concerns me is that Bledsoe seems to be getting sacked more than Romo and Henson combinded in TC so far.

Now I will give the first defense a little credit. But you have to beleive that part of those sacks are from Bledsoe standing in the pocket too long, "patting the ball" waiting for something down the field to open up.

If you read more carefully you would have noted that I base my opinion also on what I'VE SEEN, which, truthfully, means more to me than what I read. I've seen it more than once that a player "looks terrible" only to look pretty good in the pre-season game aired on TV that weekend.

Anyway, I've already noted what I think is a problem with those on this board that want to bury either one of them, and especially it seems they are zealous when it comes to Henson, and I don't care for it.

Here is hoping that both the guys do a good job in the pre-season opener, along with our starter of course.

Quincy is still better than either one and should be brought into camp.

Good post...........and basically I agree with you. I personally think that BP likes Henson however he truly embellish's the 'cockiness' of Romo. I try to read between the lines when he talks about the two backups during his press conferences.........especially the part that "Romo will play a lot in preseason in order he see if he can really produce after 3 years in the system". I personally think he would break out in a big smile if Henson could beat out Romo! (and so would I) I saw Henson play a lot when he was at Michigan and he definitely looked like a winner to me! However I still say "let the best man win"!!!

I hope both prove worthy.

The thing is, it is unanimous between the media and bloggers that Romo looks better than Henson. It's not just one or two people. It does appear that Henson did improve as the week went on, hopefully that will continue.

Remember, we don't have to wish ill will on one of them because we favor the other.

Third team defenses probably won't intercept the ball as much as 1st and 2nd teamers do, but I see your point. Personally, I'm paying more attention to Bledsoe's sacks and INTs more than anything else.

What you must understand is that on any sports messageboard, there are a select few who care more about being "right" about a prediction than the overall good of the team they support.

Dallas is going to give Romo all the oppertunities they can it is up to Henson to be ready in case Romo does not step up. I like both of these guys but I understand sports is a game of oppertunities when you get your chance you need to make the most of it because you may not get many more chances.

You hit it on the head! :abuseme:

The only reason Romo is getting more time than Henson is because this is the do or die year. If we can see the difference between the two, I am sure the coaching staff can.

This is shaping up to be the main story of camp . . . again.
