How much of Russell's problems were due to the purple drank and being out of shape though? Some guys just quit on you once they get the money.

Well, that's part of what you don't know, either. College players are motivated to get to the NFL and get the big money. Once they get the money, then all pretense is dropped and true character comes out.

There are just so many variables that go into success it's impossible to account for them all. It would be nice if scouts could look at Dak and say this is the model for success, but you can find the next Dak-like player in college and he won't turn out to be Dak-like in the pros.

Yes, if you win the challenge then you just keep it. I guess one issue with that is that they don't want constant challenges over things like a spot being off by 1 yard when the difference still does not result in a first down.
