Mickens is interesting.
The guy rehabs from knee surgery so he can play in the bowl game but he reinjures it in the game and he could not play at the all-star game or run at the combine.
He gets downgraded for that by the scouts and gms.
But if he was in the NFL and did the same thing he would be commended for trying to help the team by rehabbing so quick to get back on the field.
I liked Mickens going into this draft but had no clue about the issues he had toward the end of his last season and the reason he was not working out.
Now that I do know I like him even better.
This guy could have sit out and played it safe and ensured a better chance at improving his draft status. But he didn't do that and instead put his future at risk by trying to help the team.
If that doesn't tell you he is a team player than what does?

Could not have said it any better. This guys will be a leader on this team and a very solid conttibutor. Mock my word. I see him as our forth CB now and steadily moving up in years to come. I am very impressed with him.

not even worth reading this analysis. No knock on the poster for his/her efforts but that initial analysis of J Williams being an OLB in our scheme makes me laugh.
