Draft picks you wanted Dallas to take

But youre glad they didnt. Nobody like to admit theyre wrong, but what are some guys you were mad that the Cowboys didnt take, but now relieved they passed on.

Ill admit that I wanted Taylor Mays to be taken by Dallas and its obvious now that it woulda been a disaster. Especially being that it was the same draft that scored Lee and Bryant.

I would only have been interesting in Taylor Mays in the later rounds. There were too many questions about his game to be a 2nd round pick, IMO.

Apparently, he has had some success this year playing LB.

I liked Fletcher Cox and Brandon Boykin, both of whom wound up with the Eagles. Cox hasn't been as dynamic as I thought he would.

In 2011, very early on I wanted Gabe Carimi, so I'm glad that didn't happen, but by February, I was deciding between Tyron Smith, JJ Watt and Cameron Jordon.

In 2010, really wanted Mike Iupati or Jared Odrick, and thought Dez was over rated. So while I'm glad we ended up with Dez, but players are actually really good.

In 2009, I really thought Jaron Gilbert was going to be a future star.......so wrong on that one (no first rounder that year).

Shawne Merriman, because he is a friend. Coached him in HS (on staff) Still talk with him, and he has been back to give back....I really wanted a kid i knew from 9th grade, that i call a friend, to be a Cowboy...selfish reason, but its the 100% truth...Boy as a fan I am very happy they didn't, and know what a great move it was for Dallas in the end.......

Other then that.......I wanted to see Honey Badger in Blue in silver, issues and all........I just hate that Dallas hasn't put a lot into the Safety position in so long...I love Barry Church, seems like a great guy and maybe one day Wilcox will be a Ball'er........fine. I will take it, but damn it is frustration to be that bad vs the pass...knowing the safety position is seemingly ignored, year after year!

i did to. but he may have been a great player if not for the knee thing. he sure showed some skills when he was healthy

Agreed. Heck, I was hoping that Dallas would atleast look at Ray Ray Armstrong at safety. Looks like Im going to be wrong about him aswell. I believe that the Rams are making him a LB.

I predict nobody will be honest about this one lol. A few brave souls though I commend you guys lol. Mind was Mendendhall and Jonathan Stewart. Stewart was taken before us but Mendendhall was there.....as much as Felix underachieved here it was nothing like Mendendhall.

Isn't Honey Badger a liability back there with his size? Teams have caught on to exploiting him and are destroying the Cardinal's middle of the field with tight ends. That's the only weakness of that Cardinal's defense.

I like Honey Badger though. I just think he's a corner. Maybe a safety at certain times in the game but he can easily be exploited at his size.
