Draft Picks

Q: Do the Cowboys have a full complement of picks in the draft?

TAYLOR: The Cowboys have a bushel of draft picks to play with. They have one pick in each of the first five rounds, two sixth-round picks and three seventh-round picks. I would suspect they will use those picks in the sixth and seventh to try to move up in the fourth or fifth round and get a player they really want.


Everywhere I read, we have no 6th round pick, but Taylor states we have two? What is the truth?

We didn't draft Fujita we traded for him from KC. Shanle wasn't lost he was traded to New Orleans. We get nothing for either player.

I didn't realize that we traded Shanle, but I thought compensatory picks were for any player lost through free agency.

Patrick Crayton, McQuistan, Ratliff, Reeves, N. Jones, Pettiti...we've actually done pretty well in those later rounds. You should care.

That was last years draft.
We got a 6th from the Jets, for Hunter. That was an outright pick I beleive it wasn't conditional.
We also got a 7th from the Jets for Sean Ryan, and a7th from Saints for Shanle.

We have two in the sixth (180, 185) and two in the seventh (193, 215).
