With Dallas needing more picks and SF needing to shed picks, I present this scenario for your thoughts. Jerry might have to get involved to sell this to SF. This is under the assumption that Spencer doesn't extend either by his choice or the teams choice.

Thinking possibly K. Vacarro or T. Austin will be there at 18th and SF needs a safety and they always like game changers then we hopefully have a partner. The details are:

Dallas offers picks 18,47 and Spencer( pick values equal 1330 and hope for a 2nd for Spencer)

For

SF picks 31,34,61,74(pick values equal 1672=342 more points than the picks offered by Dallas. This 342 amount is equal to a high 2nd pick--exactly what we want for Spencer. Done deal, book it Dan O

With our 80th pick, that would give us 5 picks between the 31st and 80th pick. Many major players in this group this year. Then we still have our 4th,5th and 6th.

So what are some of the positive things we would accomplish with this trade. Reduce 10+M in Cap, get something in return for Spencer, Add additional picks--quality picks, address many/most team needs OL,DL,S,RB,TE,WR,etc.

Yes many will say this is wishful thinking, and it may be, but this type of trade has happened before and changes one or both teams greatly. I don't see the trade being out of line value wise for either team, so that's a plus.

What details of this trade are presently in place? Dallas and SF have the picks needed, we have Spencer, we have the need for more picks and SF has the needs to shed picks for value, value of the trade is fair for both teams.

What details of the trade are not presently in place? Not knowing if SF has a desire to trade back and if Vacarro or Austin would appeal to them. Not knowing if they have a need for Spencer--could sub Miles Austin. Not knowing if Vacarro or T. Austin or some other player, SF might want, would be there at 18.

Again. Jerry would possibly need to get with SF and sell them on the deal. This deal could possibly change Dallas in a major way and be able to put some quality players with our aging veterans for a solid run at the playoffs and beyond.

Assuming the deal could be completed do you see value for the team?

49ers dont have the cap space to take on Spencer and he would be a backup/situational player I think...
