Since most of us are beating the crap out of the coaching staff today...let's see who you'd pick.

Select your dream staff...HC, OC, DC, oline, and dline.

I'll start:
HC = Belichick (It's been unbelievable what he has done in the days of the salary cap, and he can fit players into a scheme and still take advantage of their strengths)

OC = Charlie Weis (Sorry, but his guy knows how to beat weaknesses and use his strengths...not a guessing game or chart like others I know)

DC = Dick LaBeau (Look what he has done with the Steelers and then the Bills before that)

Oline = Hudson Houck (Look at what he did with the Chargers last year...and what he's doing with the Dolphins this year)

Dline = No clue

My DC would be Williams of the Commanders...he's controlled almost every offense last year and this year with mirrors it seems...their DL is a joke...their secondary is decent but not great...their LBs are their only real strength, yet they stop the run, kill the QB with successful blitzes, and are 3-0 only because of that defense.

I'd love to see what he'd be doing with our guys.

I like Parcells, his style, his gruff demeanor and his way of handling players... I'd keep him as HC.

For DC, it's hard to argue with what Gregg Williams has been doing. I'd also be intrigued with Stoops as a pro DC.

For OC, I think Martz would be great in that limited role. That guy built one heck of an offense there!

By the way, while I think there's a slim to none chance of getting either of them anytime soon, two guys I'd like as the next HC of the Cowboys are Jim Mora, Jr. or Charlie Weis.

I love Mora's enthusiasm and energy. I think he'd be a great guy to have leading the team.

You said dream so all of these are going to be completely unlikely so mine will as well.

HC - I would keep Parcells
OC - Charlie Weis
DC - Bill Belichick

I hate to pile on and feel bad even reading this thread...

...

...

who am I kidding. :)

I'm 100% fine with Parcells. Belichick is the only coach one could put up against Parcells logically. Belichick and Parcells are cut from the same cloth. Give Parcells Brady and see how many problems get solved. I thought we'd be better, but hopefully we can make a run after the rooks get some experience.

OC...If Norv or Shanahan are fired, I throw Payton off the nearest bridge and flip a coin. Heads is Norv. If neither are possible, Ron Turner. Payton, imo, is of no benefit to any veteran

DC...The safe pick is to go after another head coach about to be fired (Capers, Haslett, maybe Herm Edwards), but I give a plug for a guy with great potential for D Coord. and possibly as a future HC, Bob Sutton. He's currently the LBer coach for the Jets.

I'd like to see someone name a better coach. Even USC doesn't want any part of Va Tech.

I'm not laughing. Damn good choice that team always seems prepared. I love watching their special teams.

And they lose good defensive players every year, and still put up a top 5 defense. This is the only team in the nation I think can beat USC, maybe Texas if the cards fell right. Mikes little bro looks better than him, he a much better passer anyways.
