Why is it that when owens does some thing like not exactly willing to take the punishment some times, is it a knock on him? Owens doesn't like contact unless he initiates it. There are Rs who don't worry about it. Irvin,Glenn and Key come to mind. His alligator arms can be any time he has a DB or LB that has a shot at him. That is different than running along side of him covering.

He HAS alligatored it more than I ever saw him do before. And it has been noticed by more than just us haters.

I think he is taking a lot of little 'extra' shots this year tho. I can't prove it with any particular plays or even games, but reading the pre-game articles in the opponent's press, a db or two have made remarks that smell like extra-curricular tee offs on TO are part of the program. Certainly no one holds back when jamming him.

The odds of his bustin one vs the chances of his shortarming them must be setting the coaching staff aglow.

As I've mentioned before, you get more moxie with # 83, on any part of the field.

The sad part is I'm not even trying to get into a debate about owens.
He learned the word we last week and so far this week has behaved.
I proped him up a tad for that.:D

Only one person exudes moxie on the field and it's not #83 or #81.

All right, If TR's pic is now alongside the word 'moxie' in the dictionary, I will let him keep it.

I need a new word for TG's spirit/toughness then.

hmmmmm...

I don't see why people find it hard to be pleased with what T.O. has brought to Dallas. He has the most playmaker potential since Irvin. 85 catches, 1180 yards, and 13 TDs are great numbers. Yes everyone talks about the drops but every receiver drops balls. The only drop I really chide him for is the one in Washington because it basically cost us the game.

The one think I DO have a problem with is how our coaches utilize him. TO became a star in the West Coast offense and it is what he is best in. We don't send him on short slants and rarely throw him flare passes, and most of the time he doesn't even get into the game until the 2nd half.

To me it seems like our coaches have made him a wasted talent.

We have never in the history of the Dallas Cowboys been a WCO.
I agree on slants, if he's willing to be hit.
Is Parcells purposely telling a QB who loves to go deep not to throw the ball to owens? You really think that? Romo says "I throw to who's open."
Maybe owens isn't getting open or running the correct route.
All Wrs do that on occasion too.

One thing is certain. This big TO/TG/BP/TR pimple will come to a head in less than 24 hours. Here's to hoping it explodes in the faces of the Seattle defense.

Not asking for WCO... just mix in a few slants and plays that TO accels at... it could only benefit ALL
