More stupidity reigning.

TO and PACMAN have NOTHING in common. Pacman doesn't speak up and TO has never had one run in with the law. Irrelevent, they are on in the same.

I never really cared for or against Owens, but these correlations and comparisons are devoid of any logic.

A difference in $600,000 isn't financially possible?

A "difference" of 600 means nothing. Its still 9 million on our cap for a player we dont have. Not to mention you have to replace his roster spot, So there goe another 500k for a bottom barrel player

So basically to replace TO with a scrub you cost yourself a million dollars

I don't know how much TO skills have diminished I do know in man cover TO will kill you and teams still have enough respect for his talent to play a man over the top against him.

Star WRs not only beat man coverage, they beat double coverage as well. If you saw the Cardinals game last week, you would have seen Fitzgerald double covered on every play, and still a had huge game. If it all is took to take a star WR out of a game was to play a man over the top, then all teams would do it with the star receiver.

The problem with TO is that scrub DBs manhandled him at the line of scrimage, rendering him useless is his pass routes. The likes of Ralph Brown and Shawn Springs took him out the game. You don;t see that happening with Boldin, Fitzgerald or Brandon Marshall.

TO is very much in decline.......

LOL. You don't have any say in the matter, Drew.
Neither do any of us. Chances are he's not going anywhere & quite frankly ( even though I have NEVER liked Owens ) he shouldn't be going.

Sometimes you gotta spend a million to get your mind right.

Ok, so I fianlly get to see the source on this, and you guys (Hostile as well) have been misleading a bunch of us:

Last June, the Cowboys paid Owens a $12.9 million signing bonus as part of a four-year, $36 million contract. Should the Cowboys cut Owens, he would count $680,000 more against the '09 cap than the $8.99 million he is scheduled to count if he stays. And because this is the last capped season, the Cowboys cannot spread out the hit over two seasons like teams were able to do previously.

Owens would count 9 million on our cap if he is cut The 600,000 figure is the difference of what he costs whetehr he stays or goes, but what you guys leave out if he goes is that the costs the full 9 million on our roster, but won't be playing.

You guys have spun this to make a lot of us believe that by cutting Owens we only lose out on 600 grand. No, we lose out on 9 million dollars for a empty roster spot.

Really?
In the second Philly game I saw TO make a move on CB (who had to have been 5-10 years younger than him) at the LOS that made him (the CB) look like he was standing in glue. I also saw TO run past guys (again much younger than him) for long TD catches this year.
I agree TO got handled off the line a few times but did it really happen enough to say he is in decline?
I can't say because I don't have access to game film that really shows what happened.
I know I did see several isolation replays of TO during TV broadcasts where he was running free down the field and Romo couldn't get him the ball because he was either running for his life or not looking at him.

TO could go away as far as I am concerned, but its not because he can't get it done on the field anymore. More so because he seemed to go into pout mode and stop trying if didn't catch 3 passes on the opening series of every game.

Spend a million??? How about spending TEN MILLION, to not only get rid of T.O. (9M) but to replace his roster spot with some scrub costing 1M (600K additional cap hit to cut T.O. and another 500K for the scrub's salary).

It is what it is, but you are not being truthful in telling us what "it" is.

Which is why Jerry panicked and sent draft picks to the Lions for RW when he could have had him for just cash in the offseason - he caved in to TO "needing" a credible threat on the other side.
