Be completely honest here. How Do you feel in our odds going up against this type of passing attack?

As a group they have more passing weapons then We do.... We have T.O and Witten...that's it. Miles Austin and Hurd? HUge Question Mark. We need Crayton.

Anyways on to my point...PAckers have a great group of wr's and it will be tough. Real tough, so dont be crying any rivers if we cannot stop them...Just hope Our Line gets pressure and Favre makes stupid mistakes.. Also prepare for that short inside Slant to Driver and Jennings. Favre love that play.

HUge test for our guys....It's going to take everything We have. IF they come out on top it IMO will prove OUr defense is heading in the right direction...If we dont then we still have the Same Old crap from last couple years...Good games here and there against crapy teams and give away city against good offensive teams.

Go Cowboys:star:
Whether they only use 2WRs, for 5WRs, the key *MUST* Be pressure on Brett Favre.

R. Martin 12 catches, 173 yards, long of 36 yards, 3 td's

K. Robinson 11 catches, 177 yards, long of 43 (fairly skewed), 0 td's

our very own S. Hurd 11 catches 177 yards, 16.1 ypc, and 1 td

....I fail to see how those guys are that much more intimidating than Hurd. I'd say they are all rather pedestrian after Driver, Jones, and Jennings.

It's not like we don't have our own threats. Two Rb's that are good pass catchers. THREE TE's that have outstanding hands. Austin has looked terrific as of late.

Not really concerned about them but more the 5wr sets they run...

Poring on oodles and noodles of pressure is not the answer. Then you leave reciever open on the screen and slants and single coverage on the long ball.

Anytime they go to a five-wide receiver offense, that leaves DeMarcus Ware 1-on-1 against a tackle. Mark Tauscher has already allowed five sacks this season and shouldn't come close to handling Ware's speed.

And the Packers run alot of three step drop passing plays. A lot of our pass rush is going to be negated by the Packers style of offense.

Dont get me wrong, I definitely like Ware or Ellis one on one, but if we're going to beat their 5 wide set, we're going to have to jam their receivers at the line, play aggressive inside technique, and rely on our safeties for help over the top in case of double moves, which is how all of the Packers big plays happen. Roy and Hamlin are going to have to be at the top of their game.

Um... Detroit, Washington, Kansas City, and Denver all bitzed the Packers heavily and Favre had at least one bombing TD or at least a play close to it in each game. The thing is that this Offense cant be beaten by blitzing heavily. The Packers throw the WR screens and short slants. So when they throw it short they pick up yards that accumilate. So to beat it let them catch it and hit the recievers. Dont let them get the yards after the catch. Blitzing is why teams have lost to the Pack. The more you blitz means you have less to cover. Its not Driver and Jennings Im worried about. Its K-ROB, Jones, and Martin. Heck Ill thorw Lee in. Once you think youve got the Packers offense beat they start runnnig and Play actioning. This offense isnt the best but it matches up better to every defense in the league. Im a believer that this offense is unstopable. However my theory is to let them catch and dont let them get the YAC.

Well put. We cant give up those huge cushions this game, or they will dink and dunk us all the way. We have to play physical defense, and make tackles.

Nice post. It's those quick slants that scares the heck out of me. Stop them, you stop the Packers. We still do need to somewhat Farve though. Because he has a knack of turning the ball over. See the Chicago game.

if we run a 3-2-6 we would be ok when they come in with the 3 receiver set...that would allow us to have some flexibility.

We do have put on oodles and noodles of pressure, but it MUST come from Canty-Tank/Ratliff-Spears and Ware/Ellis.

im more concerned about flo's false starts, then anything involving the packers. this game reminds me of the giants game.

they're hot like the giants were hot, but when gametime hit, it was obvious who was the better team. more physical team. dallas is just too big and physical for teams outside of NE. because NE is a big team aswell.

Whats then stopping them from running with Grant. Hes been amazing for the pack so far. Hes only had 5 starts and hes averaging 100 yards a game. Im saying this offense is more unstoppable than the patriots.

The only way Grant gets 100yds is if the Cowboys have trouble stopping the air attack forcing them to focus on stopping the pass ...I don't see Grant being much of a factor otherwise.
