As bad as the steelers need running backs something must be wrong with him.

If he was the same duce from philly days I would say bring him on. Age catches up to you though.

player like Duce might be all of a sudden "more healthy" on a playoff bound, "possible" SBowl contender team...................some of the best medicine around

I don't know that there's anything wrong with him physically, Cowher has simply had him inactive all year and has gone w/ Parker, Haynes, and now Davenport.

I've been wondering about this situation for a while, because I can't imagine someone w/ Staley's pride taking this very well for very long. I'd take him over Antowain Smith with all other things being equal, especially health.

Speaking of Antowain, wasn't his workout supposed to be today (even though most are scheduled for Tuesdays, when the players are off)?

Great idea.
I loved Preston Pearson when he was with Dallas. He was one of the best screen pass executors of his time.
But if Faulk is healthy he makes what PP was look pretty pedestrian.

Whether people like the eagles or not...one thing is clear, more times than not when they do not resign a player, that player usually does not go on to another place and do well.

Now he has pretty much did nothing with the steelers.

I think that says enough about him.

I would rather give a younger guy a chance, at the very least they would be cheaper even at league minimum.

If the Cowboys win next Sunday, their phone lines will be ringing with players that want to make a comeback. If the phone lines aren't ringing already.

Every washed up player wants a chance at a cheap ring.

When he first left the Eagles via FA, I wanted him, but he had that real bad foot injury with the Eagles and signed a big deal with the Steelers, Well i'm pretty happy now!
