Dumb question about the kicker claimed and players released...

Sorry if this is a stupid question but we released 2 players getting us down to the 69 we are allowed then we signed the kicker from Chicago. So who did we cut to be able to sign the Kicker becuase signing him puts us at 70?

ok we got down to 69 by releasing reggie love and rectar a wr, then to pick up the kicker we released van coy, not sure how to spell his name but rookie DT from dallas area, that leaves us at 69, then they announced today on mickeys spagnola report, the NFL contacted all teams, they have to get down to 53 players by Saturday, since all nfl teams will finish playing last preseason game friday, all nfl teams have to get down to saturday, not sure time frame but saturday instead of sunday by 3 pm, hope that helps
