I think we got a false read on Weeden that ugly Sunday. First, the pass rush that day was all over him; I'm not sure Romo would have fared much better. The overall performance of the team was probably the worst of the season. And second, Arizona was no joke before Palmer got hurt. They can flat bring it.

The limited time he played against Washington, Weeden looked OK.

I agree, having said that I think the competition between Weeden and Vaughn should be wide open.

Yes, and sadly, that's the trend everywhere. These egomaniacal coaches want to control EVERYTHING. It's throw it to that guy, or run for it. Period. If they stray off that plan, they get ripped to pieces.

Mariotta looked awful against Ohio State because they schemed him up with NFL-caliber defensive guys, and he imploded. Couldn't hit anything.

Not to mention the physical beat down they gave him.
