Dwayne Harris 3rd WR?

Ogletree is definitely making this roster. Who would you put over him at this point? The Boys will carry 5 WR's and it should be: Miles, Dez, O-Tree, Harris, and Radway.

Why does everyone think Radway makes it the final roster? He is faaaaaaaaar from being ready at receiver. I like his potential and measurables but he has practice squad written all over him for the time being.

So who would you put over Radway for the 5th WR spot?

This I will agree with you on. I never was in on the crowd that felt like we needed to go out and sign a superstar or veteran to play the slot. Our top two are two of the best in the league. Witten is going to get a majority of looks, so long as the 3rd receiver can catch over the middle and move the chains, we should be fine, and I believe in Harris; ability to do just that.

Me too. If we go out and sign a veteran wide receiver then that is basically putting Harris, O-Tree, Radway, and Poots in the back seat. He would be brought in and automatically get the #3 spot therefore eliminating a HUGE part of this teams inner competition within practice.

We NEED to have position battles on the team. Or else we're gonna come out looking soft and lazy like we did under Wade.

Let these guys battle it out for #3; it will make them better individually, and this team better as a whole.

Decamillas will fist fight to keep Holley on the roster. He already lost Hurd and now Mcray is hurt. Ogletree will possibly be odd man out. He needs to win the spot so its up to him. May the best man win. I like these new guys need to see more of course. I see some play makers. Ogletree is a disappointment up to now for me. I don't think that dog will hunt.

Jesse Holley, Manuel Johnson, or even Teddy Williams. Either of those guys are ready to contribute right now. Radway just isn't ready. Like I said, I like the kid, but he still has a lot to learn. Once he gets there, I can see him bumping one of the other guys off the roster.

Joe D. doesn't have the last say, he gets to pick the guys that are left on the roster. Besides, as you saw tonight, the value of ST players have drastically been diminished by the new kickoff rule. Is it really worth keeping Holley around just for punt coverage, while we have a guy with tons of potential in Radway to make big plays as a WR?

Ya I want to see some fire in his step. If he wants to make this team he's gonna have to try a lot harder.

Are you kidding me? Jesse Holley is about to be 28 years old and will never contribute as a WR, Manny Johnson is small and lacks big play ability, and Teddy Williams has even less experience than Radway and is currently injured. Radway is clearly the better player than any of those three.

Ogletree is nothing special i don't see any reason if Harris continues to play like he did in this game for the rest of preseason why he should not get that job.

"Tons of potential"? Are you related to him or something? He did a nice job on his drag route TD and had one nice KO return, but he also blew his route multiple times. He looked completely lost out on the field more than once. He has speed, but that is about all we know about him at this point. No WAY is he ready to be on an NFL team outside the state of Ohio.

A WR that can't run routes is pretty useless, Radway looked completely lost out there at times.

Little bit early for calling him a 3rd WR, IMO. Announcers pointed out how the QBs and Garrett both jumped on him a couple times for running the wrong routes.

Give him time in this offense, and I think we are definitely looking at a WR threat in the future.

Raymond Radway looked like he could be a player down the line. Probably only a PS player, but you could see the flashes of potential he has with that speed. He still needs a year or two to really learn the WR position, but there could be something there with him.

Yes, Radway is a little raw but he displayed some Potential as a deep threat WR. Who do you think should be the #5 WR?

I am with you on Radway! New pet cat. Garrett will pay attention to Joe Ds concerns and see it on the field himself. It looks to me like Holley is a st ace and a head coach will want that guy on the team too. But Holley will have to continue to shine there, its not a given.

You still gotta have great special teams to win in this league. Let's not over blow this rule change. A few more touchbacks doesn't change that.

The question really will be is Ogletree playing better than these other guys? He need to step up on game day. It is up for grabs.

I am not making a bold prediction by any chance...he may very well end up on PS or worse.

But is it surprising he looks a little rough around the edges? I am sure given the lockout and him coming from a small school and only two years of playing football that Dallas knew what they were getting into with him.

Agreed. Holley and Johnson bring nothing to the table. It's between Williams and Radaway but you've got to stay healthy to stay in the race so I'd give the nod to Radaway.

So a rookie that didn't play football his last few years of high school, has limited college experience, and doesn't even know how to run the correct routes is already better than players that have been with the team for years? I need the number to your drug dealer.

Which is why he needs to be on the practice squad. Put it this way. if there was some unforeseen injury and our 5th WR had to see extensive playing time, would you want Radway out there running routes in a real game? I'm not singling you out, but that is something that needs consideration. If he's not ready to be out there, he shouldn't be on the final roster.

Can't put Radaway on the PS now that our genius GM opened his mouth and blabbed about how good he looks. He's either going on our roster or someone else will snatch him up.

To answer your question though, what makes you feel anymore confident in Holley or Williams? They're proven just as little as Radaway.

No offense taken.

I can tell you this I would not lose an ounce of sleep if we cut Holley or Johnson for Radway. How much action did Miles see his first couple of years?

I would be hating life if we had lost him on PS for some reality show winner because we were scared we may get down to the 5th WR having to play
